What a masterful performance. Absolutely stole the episode. You can feel the tragedy of his character through his emotions.
Can definitely see why he received a text message from the man himself George R. R. Martin letting him know that his version of Viserys he portrayed in the show was better than the one he wrote. He kept us on the verge for his whole screen-time.
The hype for the dance of dragons is real. Whether it's this season or the next one, all we know is all hells are going to break loose, which keeps the show going.
Honorable mention to the Cinematography of this show, which has been breathtaking so far.

I have loved this show since ep 1 but the slow build has never been so rewarding since I can remember. To be treated so carefully as an audience is a an utter triumph for the writers and producers. It builds and builds and builds without a mystery box in sight.
The cinematography, dialogue and costumes sit so confidently in the background it, on times seems wasted but I am sure it is noticed and appreciated by viewers as much I have have. Casting is excellent and the score pushes this show forward so effortlessly. Bravo to all the actors as I have been proven wrong at every time jump. I am very tempted to say this exceeds GoT for me.

You know why this show is amazing ? Because after only 8 Episodes you Care , you care about the Characters you just learn to know, you care like you know these characters for years
Thats what a show makes a great show
The Storytelling is Superb
It works for me best if i do not compare it with Game Of Thrones, i want this show to be its own, not to stand in the shadow of GOT and with that in Mind, it works
I wouldn´t have thought that the Show would got me like this, after 2-3 Episods i thought, oh boy, but....
I am really excited where the last 2 Episodes of this Season are headed, cant wait for the next episode.

Paddy Considine carried this episode but he was exceptionally good since the beginning and he represented Viserys perfectly at all the ages and he exploded in acting at the king's worst days and sickness... What a walk, what dialogues, what representation of pain, illusions and fatigue! Just for this role the actor doesn't only deserve an Emmy award or an Oscar, he deserves a special award for house of the dragon.
But still let's not forget the hard work of the makeup team and the cinematography that showed us the sickness and its horrific effect on king Viserys so it's unfair to say that the acting alone carried this iconic episode it's more of a team work!
THE BIG GAME IS CLOSER THAN EVER.

We have another time jump.
Rheniera, Alicent, Christon and Daemon look exactly the same. Rheniese looks 5 years older. Otto looks 10-15 years oder. Vicerys looks like a corpse.
The kids have been recast again, but the casting choices are odd.
The twin girls don't look like twins. One of the girls appears to be several years younger.
Aegon looked 19 before and now he looks 20, so the recasting was pointless.
The new Aemond looks 35 - he appears to be the same age as Daemon and certainly looks older than Alicent (his mother).
Poor king Vicerys is falling apart (literally), but he's still trying to keep the peace and make sure everyone gets along. His arrival during the petition hearings was well timed but so sad to watch. This entire season had been dark and somewhat depressing.
I'm still somehow hoping for a happy ending, but it seems less and less likely as time goes on.

Ok, this is the first HoTD episode that made me cry TWICE! First, obviously, it's when Daemon picked up Viserys' crown. But something about Alicent and Rhaenyra raising a toast to each other was just so emotional. Perhaps, because it's been such a rare thing to see, and after "Driftmark", I would've never expected that to happen. Sadly, that would be the last time, thanks to the misunderstanding.
Hats off to Paddy Considine for giving one of the best performances of the entire Game of Thrones universe. Once again, the dynamics between Olivia Cooke and Emma D'Arcy were such a delight to see. And as expected, Ewan Mitchell didn't disappoint. His mannerism as Aemond is just so good. The way he fights, talks, walks, and stares are so captivating. Also thankfully, Eve Best was finally given another chance to shine, we need more Rhaenys scenes!!!

This episode is by far the best one yet, and as I understand it is the final major time jump/casting change. As someone who is currently reading the book and hasn't even reached where the TV show is, the time jumps make a lot of sense to me, even if the recasting has been jarring at times.
My only real issue is the casting of Aegon and Aemond. The actors should have been swapped around, going on the looks of their predecessors.
But apart from that, I'm loving the progression of the show. Matt Smith and Paddy Considine are absolutely smashing their roles and I'm really beginning to appreciate the ladies in their roles as well.
I think people really need to read the book and understand the history behind the inspiration for this how, to appreciate what the shoe runners have had to work with.

After last week i did not expect this episode to surpass it, but somehow it did with its amazing performances and heartbreaking scenes! House of the dragon has now become one of the best shows airing!
The actors were once again at the top of their game in this episode! Especially Paddy Considine who gave us one of his most emotional and vulnerable performances in the show! He deserves an emmy for this! At one particular scene i just couldn't hold my tears back! I am usually not the one who cries over movies and TV, but this really got to me!
Overall House of the Dragon Really has found its footing now, and i almost can not wait for next week!

Shireen Baratheon said it herself, by the time the Dance of Dragons was over, thousands were dead and the Targaryens never fully recovered. Brother fought brother and dragon fought dragon. Everything leading up to this has been some of the greatest setup in tv history and we are now about to see what could be some of the greatest tv period. The writing has been amazing and the intricacies have been painted so well. So many different happenings between all of the relationships. It's almost like nobody is truly in the wrong. However, it's impossible not to root for team black even though Alicent has a legitimate reason to claim Aegon as true heir. So complex and so amazing. Prepare for hell to break lose. Viserys was the door that was holding hell back.

What an amazing acting master class you gave on this episode, hope you can read this and feel proud of yourself cause every time you were on screen you gave me goosebumps. Hope we can see you again in second season cause you were absolutely amazing.
This show needed exactly this kind of character, that you don't know what to expect at a blink of an eye, and this guys face is exactly this, and only with a look! (And only one eye!) Holy moly... hope I can see this guy many episodes more!
This show is giving blowing my expectations on another level. I came disappointed of the ending of GOT, but man, this is taking me back to the universe and I'm happy jumping on the hype train!

First of all I have to talk about the storytelling, it's amazing. I was completely sucked into this story, despite the fact that they changed actors again, I quite liked the child actors from the previous episode and wish they would appear more. 6 years have passed, and the viewer has to accept an extended period of 6 years being left out. And from the start, I don't know what happened to lord Corlys, why does he have a problem with the pirates? No matter what, I still enjoy this episode very well. I'm impressed by the character design, I mean, the costumes, the hairdo, the makeup, wow so impressive. I love the queen's outfit. The cinematography of this episode is well done and produces beautiful shots. It's a pity not to see the dragons today. Lord Larys Strong as well, where is he?
The actors left an impression. I like Paddy Considine he's the shining star in this episode. But I don't like Aegon's performance a bit, I'm not sure Tom Glynn-Carney could fit the character, because in the previous episode, Aegon looked quite tall. And when the king's proclamation of the heir to the Driftmark was made, Aegon smiled, wtf, that scene was really pointless and weird. And characters like Helaena are really unattractive, I expect the explosion of an underrated Targaryen girl. Ser Criston Cole was as boring as ever and his face looked exactly the same as 16 years ago, when he was the crux of the contradictions. And also Mysaria, the fact that she has a spy in the red keep doesn't make her any more interesting, I would also expect this character, even though she is quite boring right now.
Even though it's a pretty well-rounded and engaging episode, with captivating lines, I was still waiting for a shocking detail at the end, and nothing happened. And the fact that King Viserys was said to be very sick, he was so ill that he couldn't speak clearly and couldn't remember much, he was sicker than a zombie. And the scene where he was lying on his stomach, cared for and Otto stood next to him, suddenly Viserys spoke as fluently and soberly as a normal person, and he even kept that strange condition till the end of the party. This sudden change has not convinced me yet. Even the fact that the young Rhaenyra, despite having "drinked tea" still gave birth to, well, six children so far, that kind of tea must have been magical.
And, it's only now that I see how big Daemon's passion for dragon eggs is lol.

This show is getting worse, endlessly whining boring characters, banal dialogue and plot that is meandering going nowhere. It feels very contemporary and bland, like a fantasy soap opera with dragons. It has less and less to do with the original show. What it reminds me of is Big Little Lies but with costumes, pretentious language in a fantasy world. BLL is more fun to watch than this, no offense to the show. What happened to the strong, ruthless and determined characters? HBO should save their money and focus on something else. It's not all bad obviously but it's not great either. Some episodes are better than other but overall is quite disappointing.
One of the best, if not the best, hours I've watched in my life for a TV job! And I think it's better than many hours or events I've seen in many anime and movies as well! A great work done by the actors, especially Visers, who played a real paternal role in which he conveys the feelings of fatherhood to the viewers in the initial advertisements for the series. He deserves a lot of awards and I hope he gets a Best Actor award in the Emmy! And it would be a great betrayal if he didn't get it! The music was of the utmost magnificence and beauty, especially the music of The Last Supper, with Gesser's dancing and Helena, and the smiles of Viserys and the rest of the family, which embodies a scene of exceptional purpose and beauty!
