The colors of the movie are really vibrant, its something thats takes you hypnotized. There is something mysterious at the actor's acting that involves the viewer as we were the protagonist and the camera effect it is so well directed, closing in the characters face and on the details. Extremaly well explorated the cenario and the fact that the movie is during on the Carnaval.

It's makes me want to wacht more and be there, in the middle of the glitter, under the atmosfer of Rio de Janeiro Carnaval. After all, it is a movie produced and directed by a brazilian awarded film-maker woman.

It's a cinematic event!

That deserves all the recognition it had for taking the prizes from the Popular Jury of Curta Cinema - International Short Film Festival of Rio de Janeiro and, deservedly, was the winner of the Kandangos for Direction and Soundtrack of the 52nd Festival de Brasília do Cinema Brasileiro. With exquisite art direction, the narrative of a black woman as God is surprising and refreshing. It's important to point out the protagonist's performance, which goes from one emotion to another, perceptibly passing through all the emotional stages from delirium to contempt. It's electrifying!

Chaotic, seductive, mysterious and funny! 100% pure energy! What enchants me most about "Lavender"(2019) is the film's incredible ability to transform chaos into an endless locomotive of incredible plot-twists in a short space of time and space, almost supernaturally. An explosion of colors, bodies and passionate performances. Impossible to remain impassive in front of the hilarious and magnificent representation of God, here in a female and black version. The impression I get is that the entire cast had a lot of fun making this film, which is usually something rare to see. A great little movie for sure.
