Don't get me wrong, in execution, Chop Socky Chooks is absolutely terrible! The writing is poorly executed, the characters are uninteresting, the designs of the chickens look conceptually pathetic, the setting is just downright insane, the action is lazy, a lot of the jokes are not even funny, and the show itself is so boring!
That being said, it's far from the worst thing Aardman has ever made. That already goes to Planet Sketch. To be honest, Chop Socky Chooks had potential to be a really good show! Admittedly, outside of the chickens, the art is highly creative and imaginative, the animation is surprisingly decent, the voice acting is impressive, and it had an honesty good concept!
I just wish it had better execution; we could've had strong character development and story arcs galore. Cartoon Network and Teletoon collaborating on a Decode/Aardman collab honestly sounds like a good idea, but in execution, it's terrible! It's not the worst show I've ever seen, but it's still pathetic. Still, Planet Sketch is already worse.
