I don't mind Zumbo or Candace like the other reviewers--I appreciated their feedback to the bakers and their clear expertise.
On the other hand, Hunter and Liza drove me crazy. Everything they said felt forced and over the top, like they were trying to shove Christmas spirit down our throats. I loved the bakers and the challenges, but I felt a lot of the things added to the show were totally unnecessary.

Each episode of "Sugar Rush Christmas" consists of four teams of two people making various baked items. After each round, one of the pair is eliminated and ultimately, the winners receive $10,000 and the prestige of winning.
I noticed in the review by dan_da_man-60288 that he mentioned this show and essentially said that they enjoy the show but prefer "Nailed It" and its Christmas shows. Well, I strongly agree. While I like "Sugar Rush Christmas", it does lack the fun and whimsy of its competition...and could used a bit of an infusion of silliness and fun. I think much of it is because the judges tend to be more reserved and les goofy as you'd find in "Nailed It" and a few other cooking shows. Overall, a nice cooking show but nothing much more.

I also don't like the upbeat background music every episode (it's annoying). In every episode all Hunter's lines are the same. For me personally he's just too abrasive to watch, annoying and above all: Not authentic.
The rest of the show is okay. I like the regular Sugar Rush more because i feel like there is more creativity. Literally in every episode of this season there were cupcakes and cakes with peppermint. It gets repetitive, same for christmas colours red and green. Candice and Zumbo are great as always and the interviews are also great to get to know the contestants a little bit better!

I watch this when I want a silly distraction.
Like the contestants and some of the challenges. Some brilliant creations.
What is up with Zumbo, he seems bored, like a little brat sitting at his desk in school. Why so dour? Are you depressed oh privileged one?

Sugar rush Christmas edition is a fun baking competition. The contestants bring new and interesting ideas to the challenges and make some really delicious looking food! The regular and guest judges are fun to watch and have good commentary.

Not only do the competitors have to rush like crazed madmen, but apparently so do the cameramen. It's exhausting to watch.
Three of the judges were rather dull, lacking personality and presence and one, Liza Koshy, consistently acts like a 4 year old on too much sugar. When her antics destroyed a competitors desert in Season 1, episode 1, I was appalled. Adriano Zumbo was standing next to her and you could tell he was disgusted, and he felt badly for the bakers. The other two..just stood laughing like fools.
Basically, the bakers have talent, but the show is chaotic and unsupported. I'll watch a little more to see how it goes, but so far......meh.

I truly love this show and I am now sad Netflix came out with only a few new episodes. The judges are not the most fun people but they don't really have to be. So fun to watch with my 5 year old. We enjoy everything!!!

I generally like the idea of this show, like the structure of it. But I don't know how to say this in the nicest possible way, the judges and the host have no personality to carry this show. Whenever they open their mouths it just seemed forced and I honestly don't want to listen to them.

I just keep end up watching this show when new Nailed It runs out.
This has the same issues as the normal show. Hunter March is funny at times, but Candace and Zumbo could be replaced with cardboard cutouts and nobody would notice a difference. The guest judges are nothing special either, usually just some random from a show nobody's watching on Netflix. The one exception was Liza Koshy, a comedienne who had some legitimately hilarious moments in her episodes. No spoilers, but the "Christmas Spirit" episode is well worth the watch just for her.
The challenges are largely pretty vague, and even for the "Christmas" theme there's very little direction. There's still this false pretense of the contestants not knowing the challenges ahead of time. "Oh I just HAPPENED to have this obscure bottle of blackberry liqueur that's perfect for the theme of this challenge!"
So if you liked the regular version, this isn't worse, it just isn't any better.

It was a Terrible show I love baking shows and I love them all but this one I don't recommend. Liza Koshy was the best part of this show. The way the judges bonded was just mediocre and their comedy between one another was just bad.

This gives me anxiety. The format, camera work, music and chip chopping is completely chaotic and headache inducing. I wanted to watch this but it's utter chaos to watch and not in an exciting way.

Would be an OK show if not for the over the top super sickly American presentation. Great to watch on mute

They chose a terrible format for the judging, instead of judging together that are all desperate whenever they are done. Round 2 bakers are half way through before being eliminated from round one.
Over scripted and kitschy, the host is painful to listen to, Candice and Adriano are OK judges on this show, but compared to their past work... subpar is putting it mildly. The guest is completely random (casting whoever has today off)
Overall a poorly executed messy show.
