An unsettling story of family, betrayal and violence.
A gang member is released from prison and is welcomed home by daughter, family and friends. When a violent incident occurs he tells his young daughter a story his father told him as a child of a beast that can appear if she is not careful. Things begin to happen that lead the girl to believe that the monster may well have come to her home.
Nice use of the horror genre to touch upon contemporary issues.

One of that wise explorations of childhood universe . Precise, realistic, powerful. A man is released from prison. Expected by his daughter, a girl implied with fervor in the welcome of her daddy, he tell to her a story. And the story becomes, with terrible consequences, true. A beautiful film about fatherhood and about way to see the children. A great last scene. And one of admirable, in its coldness, portrait of evil.
