Collections of shorts by different directors can vary wildly but this is relatively even. Stories about a chupacabra and two school meal cooks are probably the weakest, the latter out staying its welcome to drag out a predictable twist.
A story of an inanimate object coming to life is fun, and should appeal to anyone who enjoyed Rubber (2010) as the two have a similar feel. Another sketch is reminiscent of Pick of Destiny (2006), while others have the feel of American Werewolf in London (1981) and Life After Beth (2014) or Nina Forever (2015).
That's it, in a nutshell. Nothing particularly innovative, but fun to tick along with. The first and last sketches are my favourites but I felt the film could have been better with a connecting thread, like a crypt keeper, a summer camp counsellor or deranged psychiatrist to smooth the transitions. Even just a Twilight Zone (1983) twist to link those bookend stories.

Absolutely 100% pure cheese...which I enjoyed. The film is divided into chapters, ranging in length from barely 5 minutes to approx 20 minutes. In recent years I've developed a liking for shorts especially when in the hands of competent and creative writers and directors. In this case, I'm not sure that either the writers or the directors are competent, but it's over-the-top in all aspects, specifically (and intentionally) the acting, which worked. If you're looking for true horror shorts, this is NOT for you, as with the exception of lots of blood and a bit of gore, there is nothing remotely horrific about it. In all honesty, I was hoping for more legit horror, but since I enjoy (some) spoof horror, it was still worth the watch.
The first chapter was definitely the most solid of the first half of the shorts, loaded with clichés, and just the right amount cheese.
At the end of the day, potential viewers must absolutely not take this collection of odd & disjointed shorts seriously...like, AT ALL. Not even a little bit. I usually check out reviews prior to watching flicks, and it's obvious that a couple of reviewers just missed the mark on what the collection was supposed to be, obviously taking the whole thing way more seriously than either the writers and/or directors did.
There is absolutely nothing ground breaking about this collection, nor will it be something many (if any) people would watch a second time, but for folks who like blood with their cheese, this might be worth a watch. It's a quick 75 minutes, so there's not much to lose.

Not sure what you have to smoke to make it through the entirety of this but it's safe to say it was hands down the worst thing I watched all year. Unbearably bad.

I don't usually write reviews for any movie but I had to write this one. This is the worst movie I've ever seen in my entire lifetime. I'm not sure why some people are giving it 5 or more stars ; For me, this was the worst experience ever. I'd rather watch a dog bark for 2 hours rather than this crap. I really suggest everybody to avoid this one and watch something better. New characters are introduced everytime and no storyline is there at all. Even highschool kids can direct a better movie than this. I trusted those high rated reviews and watched the movie and I'm sure they've never seen any movie except from this in their entire life.

I was expecting more laughs out of this, but unless really stupid ridiculous scenarios are your type of humor, you aren't gonna laugh much. Obviously none of the shorts are meant to be taken seriously. They just come up with a random premise like what if a shopping cart ate people then just see where that level of absurdity takes them. Occasionally they did get a single "Ha!" Out of me when something dumb happened or said, but for the most part is just rolled my eyes as the scenes played out. The only scenario that I full on laughed at and truthfully enjoyed was the satanic guitar. All the mayhem it caused was over the top ridiculous and then some but man was it funny. But after that, it pretty much went down hill. I will say the acting is surprisingly good for a project like this. Everyone seems to take their roles seriously despite how absurd the whole thing is. Even the dog gave a commendable performance.

Must say I was very surprised. Hellarious was a good time. Had a nice natural comedic tone to it, had a couple stories that should be in the anthology story Hall of fame(Until death, Killer cart, Once bitten) nice pacing, nice gore and effects and it had the most important element every horror film should have, it wasnt boring. Worth checking out indeed.

If you don't get what they are going for, I don't know know what to tell you. Perhaps not everyone's cup of tea, but I just loved it. Great stories, Great acting, Great cheap special effects.

Very funny with some clever scenes. The killer kart and lunch ladies segments are phenomenal and I really enjoyed them. Worth a watch for cheesy but clever horror.

One of the most entertaining, quirky, funny movies I've seen in a long time. I wish there was a way to know which movies were like this because I would watch them all.

Not really going to please some of the people that like their comedy spoon fed to them, but for a lot of people that like subtle / high brow humor with a little bit of slapstick this was a pleaser. Also, there are a lot of references, this one is probably more enjoyable to horror movie buffs. I loved it, great job!

This you gotta see. Had me in stitches many times throughout. Easily the funniest was with the husbands. I just couldn't stop laughing. Maybe it's the reef but this thing was a blast. You will have a good time.

I don't usually utterly love every single segment on an anthology show, but this one was a rare exception. There are, of course, the strongest segments and the weakest segments. That being said, I didn't dislike a single one of them. The combination of completely ridiculous stories combined with a good pinch of humor and horror were all fantastic. None of them felt cheap or phoned-in at all.
Acting was great, production values unusually high for an anthology show and stupid fun that didn't quit made me sad when it actually ended.
Personally, Chapter Three was, by far, the best of the bunch being a silly take on Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train", with Chapter Two being a tad less enjoyable than the others. Nevertheless, give it a watch if you like totally idiotic horror happiness. Would also recommend a pack of Smirnoff Ice for added enjoyment.
