Yes its crude and yes its specific, so I guess it all depends on who's watching. Both my husband and I thought it was funny. It was a little slow for me at first, and honestly, I think her audience sucked (do people even know the comedians they're going to see?), but by the end I was cackling. She's a little like Amy Schumer in that her content is raunchy and explicit, but Nikki's actually funny and it doesn't seem forced.

I love Nikki so much on Howard Stern and all of her roasts and literally everywhere I've ever seen her but like this but Jesus, a singular overly developed joke LOL does not constitute an hour special. I know for a fact shes got more in the tank than this and I'm disappointed this is what she chose to lead off with.
I wish I could compare this to a live show or another special but this is what I'm left with for the time being. Shes a force and talent and believe she can turn it around with a more balanced special.

It's not great, but not terrible either. She's recently been on a few podcasts I listen to: JRE, Bert, YMH, etc. and I found her to be extremely funny and captivating to listen to. It's not just the sex stuff, it's the flow of the conversations and the way she tells a story that got me hooked. I wish this special was more of what I heard on podcasts. She did say she has no rhythm and you can 100% feel that. Maybe that's why people are turned off by it. The laughs from the audience seemed lower volume too. Idk if the was done in post production or they never mic'd the room or she just didn't get big laughs from people? The stage and lighting was excellent and she looked banging af up there. The content was good too. It wasn't bad comedy either. As a straight male, most of it grossed me out, but that's what I loved about it.
I'm not a critic or some comedy genius. I'm some dude on the internet and Nikki is way more successful than me. She knows what she's doing and is funny. She wouldn't be where she is today if she wasn't funny. Sometimes things just don't hit that level you're excepting and this special is what that is. I give a 5/10.

She is pretty hardcore into sex comedy, and she is good looking, which is really rare for a female, sex comedian.
She is fun to watch and she is a pro. She has a solid niche. Some of her stuff is gold, but this special was not her best work, but worth the watch.
Her best stuff is about 4-8 . . . Minutes, long.

No jokes here that we have not heard before in many other stand up routines....
S*x jokes are the bottom of the barrel when they are done badly.... and here they are just plain awful. It is so unfortunate that Nikki, who ROCKED the roast of Alec Baldwin with edgy humor put this out: it almost seems that she had another writer for the roast :(
Maybe this show is hot and spicy for some cultures, but there is nothing to see here if you watched Schumer and Cummings who are just as predictable as Nikki.

I've never heard anyone talk so intimately and candidly about the conflicting relationship that a woman can have with oral sex, and at the same time make it hilarious.
Unlike her comedy pal Amy Schumer, who made a career out of blaming her sexual misadventures on her low self-esteem, Glaser isn't afraid to show that she enjoys sex, even when it brings her more grief than hope.
This is comedy gold and top-notch storytelling. I suggest that everyone who left a negative review go watch some other cookie-cutter comedian talk about airport food in front of a brick wall for an hour instead. Much like the food in airports, their taste in comedy is bland.

Comedy is very subjective, so I totally see why some would not enjoy a comedy special focussed exclusively on the topic of sex. I didn't enjoy any of Kevin Hart's standup. Literally did not laugh once through 20 minutes of each of them - which is why I stopped watching after 20 minutes. But many people really enjoyed it, so who am I to discredit their tastes? If sex makes you uncomfortable or you have experienced sexual trauma in your life, be warned that Bangin' will offend you at some point. If that happens early on, it will set the tone for the rest of the show, so I would suggest you cut your losses. As a 40 year old married man, this was one of my favorite stand-ups on Netflix. Just when you think it can't get any raunchier, Nikki finds another notch on the dial. Yes, some of the humour is not new, but her delivery, sincerity and personalization of it is genius. I will always be a fan of Nikki after this.

It's just sheltered life sex shaming. It's not clever or witty, it's more like listening in on a spoiled rich teenager talk about how she's way too important to do stuff like that.

As a huge fan of her show on Sirius, I was really looking forward to this. This is a female comedian who is sharp and witty and has opinions that really connect across the board and she's absolutely hilarious. Then I watched this special. Gone was the woman I listen to regularly. Gone was the wit. Instead we are treated to an hour of jokes (if you can even call them that) about oral which isnt crass or edgy it just comes off and seriously uncomfortable to listen to. It's a shame as she is so much better than resorting to Amy Schumer style (definitely not a compliment). Skip this one and check out her Sirius show. Seriously, skip this. Its dreadful.

I think this was very good, you get it from a womans perspective, sure its gross but so is really the subject and she makes the gross funny from a personal view. She talks a lot of sex but I didnt found it vulgar as another comedienne might. Her timing is excellent and to me she is full of irony and satire and self depreciating in a fun way. To like it you need to like dark humour, to me the absolute best female american comic.

She goes straight in with blow job jokes and it was excruciatingly long and unfunny. Just vulgar and obnoxious
Maybe to some, she's not 'hilarious' but I'll not accept that she's 'not-funny'. Given that she chose a very difficult terrain to talk about.
I love her. The amount of heart it requires to put forth your vulnerabilities and insecurities and then even making a joke about it (despite knowing some random person will walk through judging irrespective of being sexist or not). Oh! More power to her.
And what she talked gave weight to me and helped me being comfortable about my own self.
I despise 'adult' content so to say. But still.
Many may make you laugh. But she 'also' got my love and respect.

I've heard better jokes about sex from people who haven't had it yet. It's not offensive. It's just not funny.

Just a trashy woman being raunchy. No talent, charisma, or skill. Don't waste your time.

I felt the need to defend Nikki after seeing multiple ratings of 2 and 3. I get it, the critics rightly point out its rather one dimensional material: the sexual insecurities of women. But damn it's funny. I'm a straight male, I usually hate this sort of material (for example, Amy Schumer can suck it), but I genuinely couldn't stop laughing. Not for everyone, agreed, perhaps, but she's got skills.

She's just another lame female comic like Sarah Silverman and Amy Schumer all doing the same sexually crass jokes for shock value that gets pumped out of Hollywood every 5 years to never be seen again. Rude explicit jokes are fine just come up with something far more original, like almost every other male comic.

I haven't quite put it together, but there was something unique in the way Nikki put this together...something about the way it was shot and produced. Right off the bat, due to the intimate space, she is able to connect with the viewer with her thank you. (Rory Scovel did something similar but it didn't connect like that).
I know some people will say, as I've read for years, that she is "off-putting." But those are just people who can watch hours of male comedians discuss identical topics without issue. So they can deal with their own issues.
This is a great example of how she is a great storyteller, who has some great jokes...but often the best "jokes" are simply the timing of an aside, the throwing off of something like "sept 11" and so on.
I really like this special. I will say, though, I ADORED the "Perfect" special and pretty much every appearance she made on @midnight. This is definitely worth a watch.

I didn't laugh at all. Nothing she talked about was funny. None of her punchlines were funny. I felt bad for her audience.

I find a lot of people who review Nikki Glaser, and others want to project that it's more of the usual 'filth'. The funny thing is, they always specify 'another WOMAN telling raunchy jokes' but they don't say 'Another MAN telling di*k jokes'. It's actually refreshing to hear her be honest in a self-deprecating way AND give a glimpse into some pre and post-sex behavior, along with her priorities. I think the negative reviews are from people who had their mind made up before even seeing it (if they saw it at all). Give it a try for 10 minutes and if you don't like it, then go watch Jeselnik or someone else. Don't listen to people who dislike it for the sake of disliking it.

Nikki has been typically funny in most things I've seen her in, but this one is far from funny. I couldn't make it past the first 20 mins which was filled with unfunny, same as the rest of the need to get some, female comics, reaching for laughs. Skip this one, it's a waste.
The ratings are a consequence of crossing over. Loved the material! You go girl! :)

I think this is what happens during a career that is starting to really take off, lots of work, success coming easier, stress at a new level but money flowing in and up comes your next Netflix special and you go, "aw, i got this. By now all I gotta do is show up." Because that's how this special sounds, like she did not try this stuff out anywhere beforehand. Listen, i'm not going to waste anytime trying to dissect this any further because all that matters is if it was funny and this special wasn't. Nikki, however is usually HILARIOUS!

The whole show is about sucking d...s and fingering p....s. That's it. One of the worst stand-ups ever. Not even remotely funny.
