During one of his jumps forward, Teddy remarks on how Leanne hasn't aged, asking if she's got a portrait up in the attic. This is a reference to Oscar Wilde's 1890 novel The Picture of Dorian Gray, in which a man sells his soul so that his portrait will age while he remains young.
Ronnie Chieng was the first person cast.
The character of Patrick is played by the movie's writer and director Josh Lawson.
