2024 has been quite the year to be a Marvel fan. Marvel Studios staged one heck of a comeback with a cinematic phenomenon in Deadpool and Wolverine (which went on to become this year's second-highest-grossing film), Golden Globe-nominated and critically-acclaimed Disney Plus series Agatha All Along, Emmy-nominated and acclaimed X-Men '97, and the fan-favorite, epic Echo. Meanwhile, Sony have delivered three entries in their own Marvel universe, with Madame Web, Venom: The Last Dance, and Kraven the Hunter.
While those three movies have been the subject of a lot of discussion, Venom 3 certainly generated a lot of its own buzz and ended the trilogy on an entertaining note, reinforcing the fact that it's a big year to be a Marvel fan.
The good news is that there are more Marvel adventures that will still arrive before the end of the year. You probably know that What If...? season 3 is coming but...

The last time audiences saw Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) in the climax of Anthony and Joe Russo's 2019 film "Avengers: Endgame," he used the six all-powerful Infinity Stones to murder thousands of battlefield assailants. The Stones, however, were so lousy with cosmic energy that they ultimately destroyed his body, leaving him another casualty of the Infinity War. Since that movie, Iron Man has been referenced in a number of Marvel Cinematic Universe films, most notably the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" sequel "Far From Home," wherein Peter Parker longed for Tony's advice and mentorship.
Indeed, the death of Tony was so dramatic that the head honchos of the MCU have been wise to leave it alone. True, death is typically temporary in comic books, but it was tasteful to allow Tony to remain dead. Of course, the same honchos are now working around the death of Tony Stark by casting...

Spider-Man’s story in the MCU is uniquely complex due to Sony, rather than Marvel Studios, holding the character’s rights. This separation initially meant that the first few Spider-Man films were disconnected from the main MCU. However, with Tom Holland’s portrayal, Sony and Marvel collaborated on three successful movies featuring the young actor.
Now, a fourth movie is in development. While details are scarce—aside from Kevin Feige confirming its progress—there are plenty of rumors circulating. In this article, we’ll delve into these rumors and present some of the most intriguing fan theories about the upcoming film.
The Theory of Two Villains in a Multiverse
This is an older theory we’ve previously covered. It suggests that the film will feature a multiversal character and proposes a theory about the villains who might appear.
Rumor: Spider-Man 4 will feature Venom and The Inheritors as multiversal villains.

Spider-Man has many animated series, ranging in quality. Spider-Man's extensive animated history allows audiences to watch how the character's on-screen depictions have grown over the years. Spider-Man's animated series all have their own pros and cons when it comes to watching them today.
As a character, Spider-Man is uniquely well-situated for being the star of an animated series, and distinguishing the quality of his many cartoon appearances can be a tricky task. With ten unique series under his belt since 1967, some of Spider-Man's best serializations has been through the medium of animation. Though Peter Parker's live-action iterations may get most of the spotlight, it's undeniable that cartoons have been doing the heavy lifting for Spider-Man for decades.

DC and Marvel offer animated superhero shows suitable for kids and teens of all ages, keeping the entire family engaged with familiar characters. Series like "Justice League Action" and "Spidey and His Amazing Friends" adapt comic book heroes for younger audiences with safe, engaging content. While some shows may be a bit edgier, there are plenty of appropriate options like "Batwheels" and "I Am Groot" designed specifically for young children.
Superhero stories have always had a multigenerational appeal, with both DC and Marvel hosting a variety of kid-friendly content across their various platforms. The best animated superhero TV series based off of properties from both comic book continuities typically have cast a wide net, avoiding from delving too far into territory that would exclude at least teen audiences, if not children. However, it can be difficult or uncomfortable to put a child in front of animated shows like Marvel's What If.

Superhero fans are thoroughly enjoying the new X-Men ’97 animated series. The show is a continuation of the original X-Men: The Animated Series that launched in 1992. However, this recent release from Marvel Studios Animation has also got comic-book buffs wondering if they could soon get a long-awaited Spider-Man animated show.
Spider-Man’s animated cartoons have been a fan favorite over the past five decades. The first cartoon featuring the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler came out in 1967 and the superhero has been on a roll ever since. However, the character’s complicated TV rights have made it rather difficult to adapt the long-awaited Spider-Man ’98 show on TV.

“What’s your favorite Jewish movie?” This is not a question you often hear. Ask it and you’re likely to get a furrowed brow, a scrunched nose, and then finally a, “Uh… ‘Schindler’s List?’”? Same goes for theater (“Fiddler on the Roof?”) and television (“Maisel?”). We don’t have a lot of options when it comes to Jewish stories onscreen, and the ones we do have are most often stories of strife, persecution and victimhood. The pickings are slim.
Look, I understand that the Jewish people are the most minor of minorities— we make up roughly 2% of the U.S. population — so I don’t expect to find thousands of high-profile Jewish stories every day in every medium. But at this moment within our culture, when the entertainment industry is being flooded with the palpable vibrating energy of so many minority communities rightfully surging forth to take up space,...

Baby Yoda back in season 3 despite jetting off in the season 2 finale, rest assured that that it all makes canonical sense.

The Mandalorian season 3 premieres Wednesday, March 1 on Disney+ with “Chapter 17” and will continue to air new episodes weekly. A lot has changed since The Mandalorian signed off in its mind-bending season 2 finale on Dec. 18, 2020. In March 2023, Disney+ will see the arrival of the long-awaited third season of a Star Wars TV series, a special Marvel TV series, a sports-drama movie, a one-of-a-kind sports event, a musical experience with a popular rock band, season 3 of a mystery TV series, and a new season of the adventures of a young doctor. In February, Disney+ welcomed Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (along with a behind-the-scenes special), season 2 of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, and more episodes of Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
In March, Disney+ will welcome more titles from Disney's different branches, such as Disney Junior’s Eureka! and Mickey Mouse Funhouse, National Geographic’s Dino Death Match, How to Win at Everything, and Witness Disaster, and all seasons of Doogie Howser, M.D. As for original content, Disney+ will bring the third season of The Mandalorian, a new TV series from Marvel,...

On the heels of the latest Marvel premiere and “Wakanda Forever” breaking records for Disney+, the streamer switches gears for the month of March to a galaxy far, far away. That’s right: It’s Star Wars season on streaming, with more new episodes of “The Bad Batch” as well as the long-anticipated Season 3 premiere of “The Mandalorian.”
Season 3 picks up with Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his adorable charge Grogu, who shared an emotional goodbye at the end of Season 2 but reunited in “The Book of Boba Fett.” Din sets out to unlock the secrets of Mandalore, including his possession of the Dark Saber and its complicated connections to the family of Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff). None of this would have fazed Din a short time ago, when he was a ruthless bounty hunter who adopted Mandalorian traditions, but now he has someone to protect — and the power of the Force at his side.

It’s rare that a month goes by on Disney+ without a major new Marvel or Star Wars release. With its list of new releases of November 2022 though, Disney+ is going to attempt to go without it’s two big tentpoles.
That’s not to say that neither Star Wars nor Marvel will play a role on Disney+ this month. Star Wars prequel series Andor will continue to chug along, culminating with its 12th episode and season 1 finale on Nov. 23. Meanwhile, a couple of minor Marvel documentaries make their premieres in the beginning of the month.
In place of new Star Wars or Marvel blockbusters, Disney+ is turning some of its lesser-known franchises this month. Disenchanted, the long-awaited sequel to 2007’s Enchanted, premieres on Nov. 18. That will be followed by the season premiere of Willow, a series based on the 1988 movie of the same name.

Disney+ is stuffed to the gills with content this November, both in terms of original programming and new movies. The season finale of “Andor” drops toward the end of the month, and with filming already set to start this year it shouldn’t be too long before fans are reunited with Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor again. On top of that, the long-gestating sequel to the 2007 fairy tale feature “Enchanted” hits the service this month. Amy Adams returns as Princess Giselle, now a mother and wife, who discovers that raising a family could set her up as a new evil stepmother.
But what’s most anticipated has to be the return of Willow (Warwick Davis) in the Disney+ series of the same name. Originally announced at the 2019 D23 Expo, “Willow” is set years after the first film—directed by Ron Howard in 1988—and, per Disney’s synopsis, will be an...

Sometimes even the most rich and powerful of streaming services need a little break. Such is the case with Disney+’s list of new releases for July 2022.
As the stewards of Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and hundreds of other beloved franchises and characters, Disney is never exactly hurting for content. And that’s good for them as streaming service Disney+ won’t be bringing much new material to the table in July 2022.
The only major release of note this month is the finale for delightful Marvel series Ms. Marvel on July 13. The story of Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) discovering her powers has been a worthwhile little entry into the MCU canon thus far. Will the show opt for spectacle in its finale like many of its Marvel peers? I suppose we’ll find out on July 13.

It’s been a grueling three months since Marvel fans had a hit of the MCU in the form of Spider-Man: No Way Home and even longer since the last Marvel Disney+ series (Hawkeye). Thankfully that unbearable drought will be coming to an end with Disney+’s list of new releases for March 2022.
This month is highlighted by the arrival of Moon Knight on March 30. Oscar Isaac stars as the latest Marvel hero, a man with a fracturing personality and awesome power imbued by the Egyptian god Khonshu. Tonally, this seems like a really divergent take from the studio and the trailers promise some compelling mystery and bone-shattering punches if nothing else.
