SteelSeries launched a pair of new computer mice specifically with gamers in mind, the Rival 310 and Sensei 310. After some hands on time with both of them, Matt and Jordan are here to talk about whether or not these are worth adding to your PC gaming setup at home! Come inside for our reviews!
If you’re in the market for a new gaming mouse, SteelSeries has a few options for you to look at. Their latest releases are a pair of similar mice, which our gamers Matt and Jordan decided to tackle:

The average consumer may view the humble computer mouse merely as a tool to access the files and applications on their computer. The mice they use are so generic you could put them in a lineup with others and not know which one is yours. That isn’t the case with the SteelSeries Rival 310.

When did Taylor Swift become controversial? At a glance, could there be anyone more suited to appeal to pretty much everyone, ever? Aspiring singer-songwriter with big dreams moves to Nashville to make a country album and, through her melodic candor about love won and lost and her warm embrace of her steadily growing fan base, transcends genres and continues to put out wildly infectious hit songs. She's got style, she's got grace... wait, those are the lyrics to "Vogue." Regardless, what's not to like? Perhaps nothing. But that didn't prevent something strange from happening while Swift was becoming one of the defining pop superstars of a generation. Maybe...

A group of students crash through a monster-ridden facility. But they’re too late. The giant cannons are about to be deployed, and completely level an entire city. A desperate cry rings out for them to stop. The screen goes black. The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel certainly knows how to get your attention. But you’ll have to survive for 50-odd hours of set-up if you want to know what happens next.
Cold Steel is the most recent trilogy to come from the long running series The Legend of Heroes. Originally releasing in the west on PlayStation 3 and Vita two years ago, it’s taken until 2017 for the first game to hit PC. Similarities can be found from previous titles, due to being set in the same world and era, but a new location and a fresh set of characters make it easy for newcomers to get settled in.

At a glance, Dean sounds like a parody of what many people imagine modern indie cinema to be: a comedian making his directorial debut casts himself in a more-dramatic-than-usual role to tell the story of a morose guy struggling with grief who has to balance family obligations with a new woman in his life. However, Dean has something […]

Guillermo Del Toro's computer-animated fantasy series Trollhunters only appeared on Netflix beginning on December 23rd of 2016, but has already received a kickass mash-up trailer treatment by being paired with the streaming services other science fiction smash-hit, Stranger Things. At a glance, one might wonder what each of the properties have in common, though if you consider that both series draw... Read More...

At a glance, it would be easy to mistake The Ardennes for a documentary about the Dardennes, Belgium’s most celebrated filmmakers. The enormous Ardennes forest is mostly located in Belgium (and Luxembourg), and is very likely the origin of brothers Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne’s surname—indeed, this film’s original title is D’Ardennen. What’s more, The Ardennes features two brothers as its protagonists. There, however, all similarities end. Rather than a moral and spiritual inquiry, this routine crime drama merely offers yet another riff on the Mean Streets dynamic, as a thoughtful crook’s efforts to reform are forever undermined by his attachment—fraternal, in this case—to an emotionally volatile loser. First-time director Robin Pront serves up plenty of brooding atmosphere, but the screenplay, adapted from a stage play by Pront and Jeroen Perceval (who also plays the sensible Harvey Keitel role), never succeeds in...

At a glance, Gianfranco Rosi’s Fire At Sea looks like a fairly basic current-events documentary. Rosi shot the film entirely on (and off the coast of) Lampedusa, a small Italian island located 127 miles southwest of Sicily. It’s the closest European landmass to Libya and Tunisia, and boats loaded with African migrants regularly cross the Mediterranean attempting to reach its shore, often with tragic results. Thousands have lost their lives over just the past few years, in highly publicized tragedies; hundreds more have died since Fire At Sea premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival (where it won the Golden Bear, Berlin’s top prize). Rosi captures the crisis in close-up, providing details that are too grim for the news. Sensitive viewers should know that the film includes some truly harrowing footage of rescue efforts, with medical personnel doing their best to save people so horrifically dehydrated ...

“When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.”
These are famous words about the stories we tell ourselves, explaining how a culture can rewrite its history, its reality, and presumably its destiny. They were first uttered in John Ford’s The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) and at the time directly reflected the romanticisation of the Old West, with a newspaperman refusing to print the truth about Jimmy Stewart’s decades-old lie about being the hero that plugged the titular bad man. At a glance, you’d be forgiven for feeling overwhelmed by the lore surrounding Captain Marvel. First created by comic book dream team Stan Lee and Gene Colan in 1967, it wasn’t until Carol Danvers – formerly known as Ms. Marvel – took point in 2012 that Marvel Studios hatched the live-action feature that’s currently in the works today, one that will herald the advent of Brie Larson as the title heroine.
Pitched as an origin story first and foremost, one thing that continues to elude Captain Marvel is a director to whip the project into shape. That’s something that Kevin Feige touched upon while chatting with IGN, where the studio’s bigwig stressed the importance of appointing a female filmmaker at the helm.
“I do think it will be not a requirement to make a great version of Captain Marvel, but it’s something we think is important. With all of our movies,...

After decades of serving as a provocateur and ostentatious cinematic stylist, one could forgive Brian De Palma for deciding to settle down and just make some movies. Not films, not experiments, not stylistic exercises — just movies. Every great artist is entitled to a fallow period, and who could blame De Palma for indulging in that after everything he’s contributed to cinema’s landscape? As it turns out, we may never have to learn; by all evidence, he will never, ever allow himself this fallow period.
The most eminent proof of that fact comes in the form of De Palma’s 2012 psychodrama Passion. At a glance, the film appears as though it will be a simple story, a basic rundown of familiar thriller tropes with a dash of lesbian erotica thrown in for kicks. A throwback to a time when all you needed to have a hit movie was a...

Last week, we reported that there were three directors that were potentially up for the directing gig for the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Captain Marvel. The names on that list were Lesli Link Glatter (Homeland, The Newsroom), Niki Caro (Whale Rider), Lorene Scafaria (Seeking a Friend For the End of the World), all of whom were more than qualified to take on the task.
However, a new rumor from Jeff Sneider, senior film reporter at Mashable, states that there may be another name in contention for the position: Rebecca Thomas.
Also, the mystery contender to direct Captain Marvel is Rebecca Thomas, who I was hinting at months ago on the show. https://t.co/YDF2TMBkUm

While Far Cry 4 was fantastic, it didn’t build much upon its predecessor. Similar gunplay, similar skills and an aesthetic similar to the previous instalment ensured people still loved it, but that might not have been terribly exciting to come back for a fifth instalment if it was to be essentially the same thing yet again.
So, understandably, Ubisoft has gone for an audacious change with the next Far Cry, cosmetically at least, taking things all the way back to the mesolithic period of the stone age. At a glance, this sounds fascinating, and is the first time a Aaa title is tackling the era with relative realism (in so far as we won’t see humans pitted against dinosaurs – a Dlc opportunity, perhaps).
When Far Cry Primal was announced a couple of months ago, Ubisoft pushed the focus of the game as being about survival, tribal warfare, and crafting.

“From the moment you enter the venue, you will see and feel the difference,” says Paul Glantz, Co-Founder and Chairman of Emagine Entertainment, Inc., the Michigan owned and operated company that will open the new Emagine Palladium theatre to the public on Friday, October 2. Johnny Depp has become known over the past decade more for affectations than performances, with his larger-than-life strutting for Tim Burton and the interminable Pirates franchise overshadowing his earthier talents as a dramatic actor.
At a glance, you'd be forgiven for assuming Black Mass is more of the same – sporting a silver slick-back and pale prosthetics, Depp looks not at all far from one of Burton's gothic creations in the role of vicious gangster James "Whitey" Bulger.
But this is the kind of full-bodied, substantial performance that Depp hasn't given in perhaps a decade, teased out by director Scott Cooper in a film that would benefit from capitalising more on its characters. Loosely framed by the testimony of three former Bulger henchmen (Jesse Plemmons, Rory Cochrane and W Earl Brown), Black Mass charts Bulger's reign over South Boston's criminal world throughout the 1970s and 80s, and the FBI's checkered past as his enforcer and enabler.

If niche movies are your forte, then you’re in for a treat with Alan Rickman’s second directorial effort, A Little Chaos. At a glance it’s a period piece about gardening. Delve a little deeper and it possesses all of the pre-requisites for a successful time-gone-by movie: a corseted Kate Winslet.

The creators of The Voices, a sad comedy about a man and his talking cat, are aware that star Ryan Reynolds is an unusual leading man. At a glance, he looks as everyday normal as a sweatshirt. But zoom in and he's much more complex: His button eyes are dark with yearning, his thin-lipped smile too nervous; even his pinup muscles — the result of an industry trying to turn him into something they know how to market — wear him, instead of the other way around. He's Anthony Perkins with a personal trainer, and Marjane Satrapi (Persepolis), the director of Voices, has cast him perfectly in the most complex role of his career.
Reynolds plays Jerry Hickfang, a small-town sweetheart who's quivering with the need for friends. Along with his crush, snotty ...

At a glance, the title – The Revised Fundamentals Of Caregiving - reads like an instructional manual. However, it’s actually a keenly observed dramedy novel in the vein of Matthew Quick’s fictional offerings. So, bearing that comparison in mind, it’s no wonder that the film rights were snapped up and development is now on track with the addition of its first cast member, Paul Rudd. Yep, Ant-Man’s taking the fantasy down a notch for this quirky indie.
Based on the book by Jonathan Evison, the film follows Ben Benjamin (Rudd). Aimless after losing his wife and family, he slinks from job to job with no ambition for a prosperous future, until one day he takes a night class in… you got it, caregiving. He winds up landing a job overseeing a teenager with muscular dystrophy, Trev, and the pair strike up an unorthodox friendship. As someone who...

One of the biggest complaints with Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Hobbit has been the unnecessary stretching of a simple, rather brief book into a bloated, three-movie series. I totally agree with that sentiment, making for a punishing 474 minutes of film to watch. But is the book actually stretched or do we just feel like it isc Well, Walt Hickey from the "Data Lab" over at FiveThirtyEight.com has taken a look at the numbers of running times and page counts of a wide swath of films adapted from popular novels to answer the question. Their conclusionc The Hobbit series is the most stretched film adaptation of a novel. With a total 474 minute running time (approximately 542 minutes for the extended editions) to its measly 293 page count, The Hobbit is unprecedented in how stretched the film is. The most recent film, The Battle of the Five Armies, which covers approximately 72 pages of the novel,...

Al Pacino is an acting legend who has starred in some truly great movies... but he's also been in some less-than-spectacular flicks. So how can you know ahead of time whether an Al Pacino movie will be Classic Cinema or just a Pacino Paycheck? We’re working on a formula that will allow us to plug in some numbers and arrive at a conclusion, and here’s what we have so far.
Heat
Looking at the variables in this equation, it seems like Heat could have been a miss. It might not have been a sure thing, but it's definitely one of the best cat-and-mouse cop movies to hit theaters. It's Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes and is a classic '90s crime drama.
Jack and Jill
At a glance, we'd assume an Al Pacino working with a comedian and a director who together regularly spin box office gold would result in something pretty terrific.

In a period of perpetual celebration of the 75th anniversary of MGM's The Wizard of Oz -- including a glossy theatrical re-release, Disney's Oz the Great and Powerful, and a tribute at the Academy Awards -- an independently produced animated sequel that's not even based on any of the many canonical Oz books seems suspect at best. Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return, featuring the voice talent of Martin Short, Lea Michelle, Dan Aykroyd, James Belushi, and Bernadette Peters, might be a few decades off for the term "all-star" cast. At a glance, it would appear the odds of such an endeavor actually being worthwhile would be as great as the odds of an unassuming young girl from Kansas defeating a tyrannical witch and liberating an enchanted kingdom....

The global arm of AMC Networks is readying plans to launch the Sundance Channel in the UK.
Screen’s sister publication Broadcast understands that AMC/Sundance Channel Global is in carriage negotiations with pay-tv platforms including Sky, with a view to launching in 2015.
The plans follow parent firm AMC Networks’ $1bn (£600m) acquisition of Chellomedia, which operates around 40 channels around the world, last year.
The company is home to major global programme brands such as Mad Men and The Walking Dead.
Its channels include AMC, which aired Breaking Bad in the Us, female-skewing WEtv and comedy network IFC. It has been keen to establish a presence in the UK for some time and a number of sources have told Broadcast that it has now selected the Sundance Channel as its first launch.
