From a NASA/History nerd

I have seen many documentaries about the Apollo Missions, but I have never seen such a well thought out and detailed documentary that tells the history of the events leading up to the Apollo 11 mission. This podcast discusses the beginning of rocketry to the German scientists before and during WWII that would go on to work at NASA. Bill Whittle (the host) shares his own memories as a boy growing up in the Space Age. Throughout this, he tells about many facts about NASA that I had never heard before which is incredible! During four 1 hour episodes, he tells of the history that led to the first man walking on the moon followed by the history of how we got to SpaceX today. He really takes you on a ride making you feel like you are right along with him! His story telling is incredible! This is undoubtedly my favorite documentary/podcast!

Gift that keeps on giving. Superb.

This docu-series is great, it's so well written and informative. Objective and absorbed, presented slick and entertaining. About some of the most important parts of recent human history, that's changed the world, oh so much. Culturally, politically and inventively in all directions this last century. You've got a masterpiece in it's genre going here Bill. Bravo! Would absolutely recommend to anyone interested in political history or human history in general. It really sucks you into the subject matter and holds you interested for hours. You really learn as you are brought along in the story, explained so vividly and so well. With accurate historical representation, no lies and BS as we have so sadly become used to these days. For a documentary, it's really re-watchable. All this praise applys to all subject matter covered as per season 3. When this review was written. Hopefully there's more content comming from Bill Whittle he can write and my god, the narration. Check it out!

Amazing show of history

I really think everyone should look these kind of documentaries, in the end what dictates our future is if we learned our mistakes in the past, showing our history is the greatest way to learn from our past mistakes and hopefully not make them again, I highly recommend watching season 2 and 3, they are very detailed and makes you very interested in the past.

I hope one day they will release it to the public and not to only their subscribers because everyone needs to see the show and realize what world we were living only 60-100 years ago, and how spoiled are people today compared to what was 60-100 years ago.

Rating S2 & S3

Season 2 us the most fascinating account of the Cold War I've encountered, and it makes more sense than anything I've encountered about it before. It actually makes me curious to find out more, which is what accounts of history should do.

Season 3 is dark and captivating, and it should be part of high school curricula to make sure it can never happen again. The combination of setting, footage, pictures, and narration is perfect to drive the points across. This is like if a calmer Dan Carlin was given a series. My history-major husband and I use this as our go-to, and it's one of the few documentary series that doesn't always put me to sleep.
