Did you know
- TriviaThis series was created by ex-pat Canadian Tim Addison in 1994, who, living in Prague and noting that the Czechs drink more beer per capita than any other nation, and had no sitcom of their own, modeled the show, whose name in English translates to "Pub", on the popular American 90s TV Sitcom, Cheers. Tim Addison was never credited, the laws on copyright were nascent at best. The show was number one in the country for many years - with reruns continuing to draw large audience share throughout the 90s.

Featured review
It might be difficult to understand for foreigners, not just for the lack of any English subtitles on the internet, but due to the show's premise dealing with issues which people outside of Central Europe might not connect with. Despite that, for the intended audience, it is definitely a very fun comedy show, with likable characters. The quality of the episodes is random - some episodes show the pinnacle of 90s television, while some are tedious and boring snooze-fests. I recommend everyone who understands Czech even a little bit to give few episodes a watch, and decide for himself whether or not this show is worth continue watching or not. For me, it definitely is, and I highly recommend it. 10/10
