Kristen Bell, who provided the original Gossip Girl voice-over narrations in the original show, reprises her role.

Alternate versions
An edited version of the pilot was released on the CW as a way to promote the series. It cut out all of the more explicit sex scenes and references, as well as censoring the stronger swear words in order to meet the CW's TV-14 maximum rating limit. This edited version was also put on the CW streaming app, but the episode still remains in it's uncut form on HBO Max.
