Good Bad or Bad Bad

It began with a weird suggestion from YouTube. Having watched a couple bad reviews about movies I liked, the mercurial algorithm which controls YouTube suggested a review about Battlefield Earth, which was the movie in question I was looking for after one day-for no apparent reason-I watched it on my old DVD.

Watching Bryan and Kyle lose their ever loving minds made me hit the subscribe button with great haste, and thus watched the most recent episode they had made, a ridiculous vanity project that takes place in Bay City, Michigan called Meltdown (which I finally did a review recently).

Over the years, they have exposed me to some incredible tripe, and watching them tear apart and sometimes appreciate this stuff is quite hilarious. It may be terrible film making, but it's art to many others.

Anyway, I hope they continue this show after five full seasons of work. Keep it up fellas!

I know, it's a shocker but movies consist of more than just what was on the script. Sometimes what's bad can stem from a bad camera, bad sound editing/mixing, heck it could even become noticeable how bad a films direction is based on how poor the finished product is and how (if) all of it didn't mesh well or was well constructed. Good Bad or Bad Bad exceeds a lot of film reviewers on YouTube because they look at every aspect of the film, and not just the script. It's nice to see people talk about how sometimes a shoot can run out of time or even sometimes be rushed because a director was incompetent on how to handle certain things. It's refreshing to hear people discuss the parts of movies that never get brought up (mostly because youtube reviewers don't know it takes more than just a script, acting, and cinematography to make a decent or bad movie) and this delivers so it so well.
