Director Lee Isaac Chung’s Twisters, a long-awaited follow-up to director Jan De Bont’s 1996 classic disaster film Twister, is set to reach theatres on July 19th – and as of right now, it looks like it could do some big business… but you never know what’s going to happen with the box office these days. Bloodthirst is from the folks at Mahal Empire, last year they gave us their version of the zombie apocalypse, Bridge of the Doomed. This year they’re revisiting the apocalypse, only in Bloodthirst the threat comes from a different strain of the undead, vampires. Interestingly, both films were directed by Michael Su and written by Adrian Milnes this time with a story credit to Massimiliano Cerchi

In the world of Bloodthirst two factions of vampires fight for control of what’s left of the planet. What’s left of humanity is caught in the middle and rapidly heading for extinction, something that would doom the vampires as well. John Shepard walks that world as a vampire hunter who’s on the trail of The Master Vampire.

More than three years have passed since an IndieGogo campaign succeeded in raising funds for the vampire movie Bloodthirst, starring Tara Reid (Urban Legend). That project has since made its way through production, and now it’s ready to be set loose into the world. Bloodthirst is set to receive a digital and VOD release on October 31st, and you can check out the trailer in the embed above!

Bridge of the Doomed certainly can’t be accused of being a slow burn. Within the first few minutes, an army base comes under attack, and a group of civilians is overrun and eaten by zombies. And there’s no hesitation to put the bloody results on the screen. This is the zombie apocalypse 80s style, except it isn’t badly dubbed into English.

After the opening attack, General Vasquez sends a squad led by Lt Whitmore and Sgt. Hernandez to hold a bridge or destroy it in necessary, while they wait for reinforcements to arrive. Getting those reinforcements falls to the ominously named Colonel Charon.

A few early plot details are coming out for Michael Su's (Bridge of the Doomed) Death Count. Previously titled Numb3rs, this film involves a sinister executioner, who picks his victims based on how many social media likes they gain, or do not gain. This feature is being developed by productions houses: Mahal Empire and Blaen-y-Bootleg Films. Also, this title includes a huge gathering of exectuvie producers, including: Jon Adams (Black River), Robert Dujmusic (Lockdown), Wesley Cannon (Bloodthirst) and  Mem Ferda (The Devil's Double) and dozens of others. Bridge of the Doomed is an upcoming zombie feature. From the minds of director Michael Su (Bus Party to Hell), writer Adrian Milens (Bloodthirst) and executive producer Mem Ferda (The Devil's Double), this feature is currently in post-production and will be finished soon. In the story, a squad of soldiers must hold a bridge as a zombie outbreak takes place. But, there is something beneath the bridge which is much more terrifying than the undead hordes!
