Darah perjaka (1985) aka Bloody Vengeance is a surprisingly dull, Indonesian actioner. The plot mostly focuses around some men who work at a shipping company, loading boxes onto trucks. Not only do the men often bicker, solving their conflicts with very bad martial arts, but the trucks are frequently attacked by bandits. Add a mysterious ninjitsu expert into the mix and you have what sounds to be a fun movie. Sadly the plot is completely uninspired and revolves around the shipping company owner being somewhat shady but not at all memorable. All of the fights involving the truck or the teamsters is pretty dull with no interesting set pieces, choreography, martial styles, weapons (neither improvised or exotic), costumes or noteworthy dialog. The film's one saving grace is in the final 20 - 30 minutes where that classic Indonesian insanity is showcased in several fun fight scenes. However, even these scenes are not terribly noteworthy within the genre of Indonesian movies much less martial movies or even psychotronic movies in general. I'm not sure I'd really suggest to anyone other then completionists or die hard fans of the principal actors/Indonesian action movies.
