A stage play adaptation of Izumi Ito's comedy manga series The Demon Girl Next Door (known as Machikado Mazoku in Japan) is set to perform at the Ginsa Hakuhinkan theater in Tokyo from January 9 to 15, 2025. The manga has been serialized in Houbunsha's four-panel manga magazine Manga Time Kirara Carat since June 2014, and the first season of the manga's TV anime adaptation started airing in Japan in July 2019. The stage play is included in the manga's 10th and anime's fifth anniversary project . Naru Kawamoto, who runs the theater company “Jisoku Ni Yon Rock,” will serve as writer and director. He recently worked on a stage play adaptation of Yasuhisa Kubo's comedy manga series You're Being Summoned, Azazel in 2023. Toomi , a member of the idol group #2i2 , plays the protagonist, Yuko Yoshida, aka Shamiko. Karin Osanai , a fashion model and actor, plays the role of Momo Chiyoda, a magical girl.

The gender ratio of those who participated in the survey was was approximately 50% male, 40% female, and 10% unspecified.
The age demographics showed that about 35% of the respondents were under 19 years old, and about 30% were in their 20s, highlighting the genre’s popularity among younger audiences.

The world of Hiro Mashima anime is about to expand with the upcoming Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest adaptation, but ahead of that it's almost time to bid a fond farewell to one of his recent manga series. According to the latest issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine , the Edens Zero manga has just five chapters remaining. The series first kicked off in that very same magazine back in June 2018, and has been collected in 31 volumes at the time of this writing. If everything stays on schedule, that means the final chapter of Edens Zero will be published when the 30th issue of the year hits stands in Japan on June 26, 2024. As we head into the Spring 2024 anime season, streaming service Hidive today announced that an English dub of Fall 2023's The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess anime series will release weekly on the platform from April 15. The first two episodes will premiere at Anime Boston on March 29.
