There is nothing much to say apart this movie was a good joint. Last time I wached good russian movie it was leviathan and durak in 2013?. I've watched this film today in Istanbul Russian Movies Week and it was amazing. It almost made me cry in the end. It was a new perspective for me because I didn't know much about Russian 90s. The camera angles and acting impressed me. Also this story is based on a true story if you didn't know. My advice is you to watch this film if you ever have a chance.

In general, the film is not bad, but nothing more. The plot is crumpled, there are a lot of characters, but they all, except for the main male and female characters, do not open up completely and are presented only as scenery. You are unlikely to be rewatching it. 'Free' nineties are shown very superficially and chamberly, a lot of omissions and inaccuracies. Filmed too budget, the music in the film is not a hit from those times. For the Moscow Region in 1997, the way of life of the heroes and the town itself are too poor, even in my Siberian wilderness then we already lived better. Of the success, this was the work of a costume designer (I wore some of the ones shown).
