Seems like my brain died after watching this. Haven't seen anything so badly scripted for ages.

This is confusing, is this a kids show? All the characters are over the top, the first 15 minutes, which is all I have seen so far, is not really promising, it feels like something from Nickelodeon...

At first I was excited when I saw the cast for this show. John Noble is phenomenal and I enjoyed Morena Baccarin in Firefly / Serenity, but this show is so horrid I couldn't stand it long enough for their roles to get going. This show is in no way funny or interesting. Stupid and boring is the best way to describe it.

Despite the title being slightly misleading, this show is a sci-fi comedy. True to its genre, the plot is some-form of hybrid of Mars Attacks!, Men In Black and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and of course pretty surreal. This is average entertainment if one is not expecting bigger than life story. Take it as it is, no- brainer.
This is not worth watching, don't know what they smokes when they wrote this, and the actors are just worthless...
I didn't realize this was a series because it was presented as a movie on Prime. Although it explained the filming quality and pacing when when I found out afterwards. Regardless, it made sense to watch it in one sitting as for me there wasn't enough momentum to break it up and keep coming back.
I thought it was an amusing premise and had some enjoyable humour and characters, as well as some good twists. I had at least a couple of lols.
The set up with the nosy neighbour and her hubby was great.
I think it's sometimes enough that a show is entertaining, not everything has to be groundbreaking!

The first episode I was a little cautious. But This show made me laugh. With all the "Serious" TV shows out there we need a comedy like this ever once and a while. To the people complaining. Its a TV series meant for the family. Hence why it has both adult comedy and children's comedy. I binged watched this with my kids in a day. If you want a good laugh. Give it a watch! If you have watched 3rd Rock from the sun and enjoyed it. You'll enjoy this!

It's a completely stupid brain drain. The acting is very bad and the writing smacks of middle school. If this were on Nickelodeon it might be forgiveable. There is obviously a 3rd Rock From The Sun influence with hints of Bewitched and the CBS series, Ghosts.
The overall feel is similar to Ghosts and at first I thought it was from the same producers. It is not as far as I can tell.
If like me, you were hoping for smart snarky humor like the Scifi show, Resident Alien, you will be sorely disappointed. Imagine if 3rd Rock had been made by middle schoolers.
I stumbled upon this series while browsing Peacock. I wish I hadn't.

Apparently, I watched the movie version in which they edited all the episodes together. So you can say I inadvertently binged the whole series.
Now I will say there was a twist that I didn't see coming but then again I didn't expect much. The movie/show actually has some familiar faces and a few unexpected chuckles. Again, I didn't expect much or even to finish the movie/show but I did and all it cost me was an hour and some change on a Sunday morning.
I wouldn't watch it again or recommend an actual watch buuuut if you don't have anything to watch and want something on the tv, this could work.

If you want to spend a light half hour of comic science fiction, Home Invasion is worth having a look at. A good cast, an evil computer, a befuddled T-Rex, and cows, what more can you ask for.

Im relieved that there still is some competition to the Hollywood Cookie Cutter cud. It may only be a 7, but I gave it an extra star because Johan Glans was in it... GO JOHAN!
Fan of the doctor, then this is right up your alley, this at least might be an underground success.

I maybe biased because I like the comedic works of Johan Glans, but he is truly a comedian that deserves a bigger audience. Then you have Morena Baccarin. She can make any sci-fi comedy actioneer fun. Next we have a surprisingly good supporting cast. This 1st season should be all watched together. Many reviews state ripoffs of earlier movies and television, but it actually built on earlier sci-fi and gave it a new twist without being dirty or crude like much of modern television and cinema. You used to be able to turn on the television and watch adult comedies or sci-fi that was clean yet still had amazing drawing power; the building blocks that entertained and continue entertaining millions, if not billions. This 6 episode season has that. It toes the line but stays on the clean side yet can still entertain adults as well as children. It shows that you can keep the mature audience mature without indecency.
To another review; no this could never be a Nickelodeon production in this day and age because it doesn't become immature, politically correct, brainless and bubblegum nonsense. Disney couldn't tough it for the same reason either.
This comedy has so no brainier slap stick and intelligent sarcasm mixed in to the pot with some good adventurous sci-fi to boot. The visuals and cinematography is not your basic cut rate mess either.
America and the rest of the world need sitcoms like this. No more ignorant foul mouthed, mindless and degrading sludge.
