First movie of Karthi and Jyothika together, they are brother-in-law and sister-in-law in real life. Jyothika is married to Suriya, Karthi's elder brother.
Actor Karthi and costume designer Poornima sourced clothes from local street shops in Goa for mismatched, colourful costumes. The crew also asked Karthi to grow his hair out, and since it was a swag look, told him to keep it in real life too.
