French television seems very keen on glamourous murder-dramas set in its beautiful south (or at least, they're the sort of dramas that are often shown in the UK). If you've got, flaunt it, I guess, although it makes me smile to recall the 1980s BBC soap opera 'Howard's Way' that tried to project glamour while set on the English south coast. But while 'Time is a Killer' may be glamorous, it's hard to call it good, with a preposterous plot that ultimately turns upon a woman who has been kept imprisoned for 20 years just happening to work out how to escape literally moments before the cavalry comes to rescue her. Forget the murders, and it's just lifestyle porn. Even the presence is the cast of two veterans of the excellent 'Spiral' can't save it; watch that for a (very unglamorous) look at how murder stories should really be told.

I rarely write a review as not a critic.
But this is truly atrocious from beginning to end, I know it's from TF1, but still. It's so cringing how truly bad this série is
The cast - the "acting" - the actors - the script - and the so called make up - are all as bad as each other
I had to watch it until the end, but this is time completely and utterly wasted which I will never have back,

I have watched one episode so far and may not watch more of them. Many of the characters look too young e.g. Clo's grandfather looks just about old enough to be her father and the retired police detective looks younger than he did 25 years earlier. Although Natale's hair and beard have been sprinkled with a bit of talcum powder he, too, does not look as if he has aged by 25 years. The singing is a bit embarrassing too.

My wife and I were enjoying this French drama set in stunning Corsican then we watched episode 4.
What happened? It was completely ridiculous.
We didn't bother watching any further.

The scenery here is awesome. Not your typical US or British show. However it's really enjoyable with decent acting. Plenty of twists along the way and overall a very enjoyable watch .
Badly written and badly acted. Saddest thing was to see Thierry Goddard from Engrenages, the best, in this, the worst.
Worst thing I've seen on TV in 25 years.
Appalling production. Laughable storyline. Rank poor acting. Total production is hopeless. All of the songs performed were so totally embarrassing. Cannot believe how shockingly bad the whole series was. It was so bad I had to watch the whole thing in the forlorn hope that it couldn't possibly be as bad as the early episodes, sadly it got worse.

We have watched four episodes. It is so slow, you lose your train of thought. Thierry Goddard is under utilized. They never show the rescue at the car accident. Wait until the first season is over, whenever that is, to binge watch. If you intend to waste your time. Otherwise, you will spend most of each episode trying to figure out what you missed from previously.
So far, there are 11 episodes posted. If there are more, do not know.

This farce really belongs on "Mystery Science Theater". It is riddled with ridiculous scenes and plot twists that are absolutely unbelievable. I did watch it all but only because my wife and I had too much fun laughing at the absurdities. We had to fast forward through the teenage musical scenes (if you can call it music) because the "music" was so painfully horrid! The producers, writers and director should be arrested for "Crimes Against Humanity"! There are plenty of high quality French mystery shows produced but this is not one of them. The guys from "Mystery Science Theater" would have a field day with this stinker!
We watched this on Channel 4's Walter Presents where it is shown under its English name of ''Time Is A Killer'.
We thought the story was intriguing and certainly had some plot twists along the way. We found that, in general, the acting was good and certainly showed how beautiful Corsica is.
European series certainly have a different style to American ones so it makes a pleasant change to watch them.
Highly recommended.

This starts as a normal murder mystery then suddenly goes haywire. Corsican mafia, feuds, family crypts, a mute, woman imprisoned for 20 years miraculously escapes, corrupt police, secret children, affairs and the most hilarious moment when the escaped abductee falls off a cliff. The families are all dysfunctional, for example a weird witch grandmother beating her disabled grandson, a father and mother hating their daughter in law because she is not Corsican. Not sure why this got made unless it is some surreal comedy. Mediocre karaoke singing throughout, average acting but fabulous scenery - a Corsican tourism special.
Beautiful Corsica is the backdrop for this complex and engaging show with strong cast and pretty fast moving action. Ok, so like many french shows there are some far fetched connections, but it's entertaining and gripping.

Who ever had reviewed this with such low scores must be a fan of your typical US or British drama. This is a sophisticated well directed and beautiful drama with twists and turns that leave you baying for the next installment. Wonderful.
