If you’re a fan of Mel Gibson’s classic action flicks, be sure to stream them before they leave Max at the end of August.
All four “Lethal Weapon” movies and “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome,” starring the late, great Tina Turner, will be leaving the streaming service. Luckily, you’ll have all month to watch them.
Watching the new “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” animated movie in theaters? Max has several films featuring the radical reptilians: the live-action “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze” (1991)
and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III” (1993), as well as the animated “Tmnt” (2007).
Kaiju fans will want to check out “Godzilla” (2014), “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” (2019), “King Kong” (1933) and “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” (2012).
Finally, if horror is your thing, six “Hellraiser” films and “The Ring Two” make great summer scares.
Here’s everything leaving Max in August 2023

Prime Video got off to a fast start this summer with the release of The Boys season 3 on June 3. Now, as we enter the dog days, Prime Video is set to keep the warm weather good times rolling with a new twist on an old classic. That’s right, Amazon’s list of new releases for August 2022 is highlighted by some good old-fashioned baseball.
A League of Their Own, the TV adaptation of Penny Marshall’s 1992 movie, is set to premiere on Aug. 12. Like the movie before it, the series will dramatize the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League which saw women playing America’s pastime while the major leagues were on pause for World War II. Abbi Jacobson (Broad City) co-created the show and will star as catcher Carson Shaw.
Other Prime Video Originals of note this month include season 2 of British comedy The Outlaws on and the Ron Howard-directed Thirteen Lives,...

Prime Video will continue rolling out its summer slate in the month of August, releasing new original series, as well as a mix of suspenseful films, action movies and more.
Amazon’s series version of “A League of Their Own” will debut its eight-episode first season on Aug. 12, introducing new characters and stories set in the historical opening of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League (Aagpbl).
Ron Howard’s “Thirteen Lives” tells the real-life story of how a young boys’ soccer team was rescued from the Thai mountain cave where they got stuck for 10 days along with their coach.
Other new film arrivals include hits from earlier this summer, “The Lost City” starring Sandra Bullock, Daniel Radcliffe, Channing Tatum and Brad Pitt, as well as “Sonic the Hedgehog 2.” Academy Award-nominated film “Licorice Pizza” also arrives on Prime Video this month.
Freevee will also have new arrivals this month.

There are a lot of popular streaming platforms to choose from, but Hulu has always stood alongside Netflix as one of the two essentials for households looking for diversity in content. In the past, they’ve been known for focusing more heavily on newer television content, while Netflix has always offered a larger selection of sought-after films. But now, it looks like Hulu’s June lineup is only going to continue the service’s recent trend of providing high quality movies to bring itself in line with their competitor.
First up, you can get wholesome with Mr. Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, which tells the story of an investigative journalist who learns some hard life lessons from one of television’s most beloved personalities. You can then supplement that wholesomeness with My Girl and My Girl 2 for some wonderful 90s nostalgia.
Speaking of nostalgia, you won...

June 2020 is set to be a big month for the whole streaming Disney family. Not only will ESPN+ have the entirety of The Last Dance on its servers for late-adopting sports fans to catch up with, but Disney+ will be premiering its long-awaited Artemis Fowl film. Over on its biggest streaming service in Hulu, however, Disney is taking things a bit more slowly.
This month finds only three major original releases for Hulu. Animated medieval comedy Crossing Swords premieres on June 12, then Ya love story Love Victor and cooking show Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi both arrive on June 19. All in all, that’s not a bad haul for originals for the typically slow summer months.
June 1 sees a pretty impressive crop of movies coming to Hulu’s library as well. October Sky, The X-Files (1998), and Casino will all be ready to stream at the beginning of the month.

Moviegoers are being offered lots of laughs at domestic multiplexes this weekend, with a pair of comedies targeting distinct audiences unspooling wide Friday.
Universal opens Sacha Baron Cohen's R-rated "Bruno," and execs should be high-fiving each other after a solid first frame likely to produce $30 million-plus through Sunday. Fox, which passed on releasing "Bruno" over cost concerns despite success with 2006's "Borat," debuts the Chris Columbus-directed high school comedy "I Love You, Beth Cooper."
But Fox's prospects for a lucrative session reside more with the sophomore session of its 3D animated threequel "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs." Even a 60% drop from its first weekend would produce a nifty $20 million or so this frame.
"I expect to have a very solid second session this weekend," Fox distribution president Bruce Snyder said.

Panettiere Shocked By Her Own Movie Nude Scene
Hayden Panettiere was left aghast when she saw the final version of her new movie I Love You, Beth Cooper - because she didn't realise just how much flesh was captured on camera during her nude scene.
The 19-year-old actress bares all for the new comedy, but didn't expect to see much of her naked body on screen due to the U.S. PG-13 rating, which allows kids under 13 to see the movie when accompanied by an adult.
But Panettiere was left cowering in her seat when she attended a recent preview of the film, because her "side boobage" filled up the entire screen.
She says, "It's one of those things that you forget how much of your flesh is in it, until I saw it again and then I was like, 'Duck, duck!'. I knew they were doing it (filming a nude scene), but I didn't know it would be so big on the screen!"...
