PBS and Amazon have come to a deal that will see Amazon Prime become the subscription-video-on-demand home for the bulk of PBS' kids programming. The companies did not disclose the terms of what they said was a "multi-year" agreement.

The shows will continue to air first on PBS stations, then be available on Amazon after a certain period of time. The new deal does not include future series that PBS may introduce, while some of the network's popular programs stream elsewhere such as "Super Why" which remains at Netflix and "Curious George" at Hulu.

The agreement gives Amazon streaming rights to nineteen series overall, ranging from relatively new launches like "Nature Cat," "Ready Jet Go," "Odd Squad," "Peg + Cat" and "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood"; to mainstays such as "Wild Kratts," "Martha Speaks," "Dinosaur Train" and "Cyberchase"; to classics including "Reading Rainbow," "Caillou" and "Fetch! Giving props to the hottest shows and stars rocking the airwaves during the day, the 2013 Daytime Emmy Awards nominees were just unveiled.

And the top nod-getter this year is “The Young and The Restless” with 23 chances at glory, while “General Hospital” nabbed 19 mentions.

“Days of Our Lives” and “Sesame Street” both tied for third place thanks to 17 nominations each, and there are plenty of other big names on the list as well.

The 2013 Daytime Emmy Awards will take place on June 16th. The nominees are:

The Young and the Restless tallied 23 nominations as honors were announced this morning for the 40th annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Restless’ impressive take helped CBS lead all networks with 50 overall nominations. PBS and ABC followed, with 44 and 38 nods, respectively.

General Hospital, which earned 19 nominations, joined Restless in the race for Outstanding Drama Series, and Sesame Street received 17 nods, including three for Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo who faces allegations of sexual misconduct.

Good Morning America and Today will bring their ratings rivalry to the Emmys, where they’ll be joined by CBS Sunday Morning in the Outstanding Morning Program category.

ABC’s General Hospital leads the way with 23 nominations for Daytime Emmy Awards.

The television academy announced Wednesday that the venerable soap opera will compete with NBC’s Days of Our Lives, CBS’ The Young and the Restless and the canceled All My Children of ABC for best daytime drama. NBC’s The Bold and the Beautiful has won the trophy three years in a row but wasn’t nominated this year.

Other repeat winners are possible, though: Ben Bailey of Cash Cab was nominated for best game show host and Dr. Mehmet Oz as best talk show host.

"As the World Turns" took home some hardware in its penultimate Daytime Emmy ceremony. Michael Park and Maura West took home Outstanding Lead Actor and Actress, which was his first win and her second. "Atwt" also took home Outstanding Supporting Actress for Julie Pinson (pictured).
