This is actually the second documentary made about Skateistan. The first was a full-length documentary from 2011 called "Skateistan: Four Wheels and a Board in Kabul."
Skateistan, which was started in 2007 in Afghanistan, also now has programs in South Africa and Cambodia. They are headquartered in Germany. More than 50% of their 2,500 students are girls.
