One Minute was commissioned by environmental organisation Futerra, together with The Seasons Alter (2002), to promote the concept of sustainable development.
Futerra's first two films, One Minute and The Seasons Alter (2002) was first screened at a BAFTA event in July 2002, accompanied by a panel discussion on sustainable development, chaired by National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts (NESTA) then chairman, Lord Puttnam.
