Originally conceived as a remake of Terror Train (1980) to be written by Ryan Eslinger. The script eventually morphed into its own story.
Before the group takes the train, when coach says to the conductor they want to hitch a ride to Odessa, the conductor answers: "Welcome to Dosvidanya". Dosvidanya means goodbye in Russian.
Koyna Ruseva's first American film. The second one was Prey for the Devil (2022), also a horror film.
