Awkward, unfunny and a painful reminder that modern networks are completely out of touch.
When Lily Singh said she wants to be a comedian people laughed. Now nobody is laughing anymore.
Seriously. This is horrible comedy. The jokes lack pun and originality. Her presentation is awful. It seems forced, over the top and smug all at once. The woman is no comedian and the person writing her jokes should be fired.
You want to have a "bisexual woman of color" as a host and make some pokes at today's social culture and white people and all that. Do it, but can you get a host that has a talent to be a comedian?

I grew up watching Lilly aka Superwomen, I think I was one of her first couple thousand followers on YouTube. So when she announced she was going to have her own show, I was ecstatic for her because we all know how hard she worked to get here. She deserves it. But after watching one episode, I'm just disappointed. Truly disappointed. I got bored 2 min in, the jokes are borderline lame and cringeworthy and just sound racist at times (& I'm not one to say that lightly). I'm just sad because she has this amazing opportunity to reach out to young people on this platform but instead she choices to victimize herself half of the time. It's not even funny. I truly don't think the show will last. I live in Seattle, WA and everyone I know around me thinks the same. If her content doesn't change and FAST, she's going to be done pretty fast.
I am in awe of how a brown woman can get on television embarrass her entire community, at the same time spitting the most moronic statements about white people whilst claiming to be the saviour of late night television.
Aside from the joke stealing, she is just one of the worst "comedians" ever.

TV execs probably thought this was the woke thing to do big mistake. Everything on the show seems forced... the monologue makes little to no sense and the grunts and sounds she makes is to what.. help build up the joke. Waste of time of a show.
I couldn't sit through the entire thing. I didn't laugh once. We don't need a racist from Canada trying to act like she understands America. Not sure why the whole script was the same joke over and over and over. Who wrote this?

There aren't really any jokes in her segments. So really, its just her constantly bashing on other groups of people for the entirety of the season. And its all done with a smile on her face.

One of the worst late night shows to ever exist. This really shows how out of touch large networks are. What on earth where they thinking?

White people = bad
men = bad
women = good
brown people = good
Oh, and if you're in doubt that she is bisexual after the first 10 times she says it, she'll let you know another 28 times. All within 10 minutes.
Is this what is considered "comedy" in 2019? I'll pass and give Dave Chappelle another watch.

The lame, racist, sexist and offensive white people jokes?
We get it, you're a bisexual woman of color with a late night tv show. I don't think anyone over the age of 4 is under the impression that Lily Singh is anything but a woman of color meaning she's a) not a man, and b) not white. We can tell, we are aware trust us! We are not confusing you for another gender, race, ethnicity, sexuality since you told us ....
I just hope that there were more jokes that didn't involve or revolve around the same issues over and over it sounds like a broken record.

Lilly Singh is beautiful, smart, funny and has a wonderful personality. Her show comes with a different perspective than the rest of late night. Obviously she is a female but she was also raised in a immigrant house hold and brings that into her humour. She has a very beautiful tongue in cheek self deprecating style. I have enjoyed her first three shows and can only hope NBC gives her a chance to both prove and improve her show in order to build an audience.
The only reason this doesn't have a 1 star rating is because her die-hard fans are boosting it. You can literally see them rallying in the Youtube comment sections telling each other to come give her a good rating.
This is absolute trash.

The many fault of this show is talent. Late night isn't missing a bisexual Indian women, with the exception of A small few its missing talent, and Lilly is the bottom of the barrel.

It's so boring you'll fell asleep almost immedietaly. Only 30 min, but feels like 3 hours long
A complete show on bashing white people. Oh wow! How original so much fun at every white persons expense but it's okay right? Disgusting. She's weak and does not have an original funny joke to save her life. She is the joke.

Such a hateful show and host.
its sad to see that in todays society where racism is frowned upon heavily and will often even get you fired, racism against white people is applauded and will get you a late night talk show appearently.

A basic rundown of the show: "I'm a woman of color I'm bisexual yass women and diversity men are trash did I mention I'm bisexual oh yeah and white people suck"
God this is the worst night show I have ever seen. When I switch on the TV I want entertainment with a little of what going around us in the world... I dont want to hear you whine about how bad you have gotten it as a brown person and because of your gender how many difficulties you have to face. For that go to your friends. For your audience make a good show or quit!

This is just torture - constantly waiting for the punch line, that never arrives. The forced laughing from the audience is just painful. How did this person get their own show when there are genuinely funny people out there?

This is amazingly torpid television. And the mountain of shill reviews are so obvious with their similar diction, same grammar mistakes and phrases, etc.

Because her show is brand new, I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. I don't watch Youtube and only heard of her a few days ago because I saw her interviewed on Christiane Amanpour's show. She comes off as quite slick and almost too professional, but really no worse than Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel or whoever. I've never seen her Youtube routine, but all these comics just fit themselves into 'talk-show' mold once they do late night TV. She will have to do better than what I saw last night with if she wants to stay on the air. Mostly, she and Tracee Ellis Ross fawned over each other and seemed way too pleased with themselves. Their selfies they shared were really not nearly as entertaining as they seemed to think they were. She tends to veer into a narcissism the audience will tire of fast

If you're into long rants with the usual leftist rhetoric, this just might be the show for you. She claimed that "white people" are afraid of her having her own show. Seems pretty paranoid to me. She is also being accused, repeatedly, of stealing jokes, so she is not only paranoid, but desperate as well. Not a good look. So, thanks Lilly, thanks for degrading and alienating a huge portion of the country while you rake in more cash for yourself. Hope that feels nice.
