I think laughter can redeem almost anything, and when it's funny, I laugh, but "Will and Dewitt" isn't funny. It's just disgusting and slimy and it degrades children. I guess it's no surprise that its Canadian channel, YTV, is the author of "Tak and The Power of Juju". We should be thankful that they used up all their Canadian monkey people jokes in that show.

This show revolves around a young boy named Will, who's about 7 and loves to play outdoors, has a friend named Dewitt and his Grotto pals include a turtle, raccoon, frogs, 3 kois and other kinds of animals he calls his friends. Will and his Grotto pals sing a lot too . The frogs (Croak Bottom Boys) double as the band
So, the situations are very much the same kinds of situations one would experience: Keeping secrets, trying to do things you may not be ready for, wondering if you can do certain things, etc
It may not be the most intelligent or forthcoming or realistic (honestly if cartoons were realistic I might not watch them, I see enough reality) but it's cute and nostalgic. It makes me long for simpler days when kids did play outside and the worst I had to deal with seems silly by today's standards.
Will and Dewitt might be a huge hit with Christian fundamentalists because by all counts it is pretty sanitary and great for little eyes and ears.
