What an extraordinary short! The main character was well developed which allowed me to emotionally connect with him. This is very difficult to do in a short. The fact that the story is based on true events, that are tragically all too real in NYC, also helped to make the experience real for me. This film does a great job in highlighting these awful crimes while honoring the victims.
The great music and the cinematography aided in supporting the story. As a viewer, I was instantly and effortlessly drawn into the film and felt like I was a true observer in someone else's story.
Kudos to the actors and director! What a FANTASTIC first short for Heland. I can't wait to see what he comes up with next!!!
