Featured review
Merv griffin is an artist in gameshow creating. he's pumped out greats like wheel of fortune and jeopardy that have just kept going and going and they continue to go. however, crosswords is different. it has no good twists in it. but before I tell you those twists, it's best you know the whole idea of the game.
The object of the game is to be the player who has the most cash in the end. how to get cash? you have to do the crossword puzzle. the host gives a hint out, and the first contestant (or spoiler, See paragraph below) to ring in will have a chance to say the word. this goes on throughout 3 rounds. whoever has the most money at the end of the game goes onto the bonus round for an extra 5 grand (yippee) and a trip to some fancy place. the whole idea is to finish the crossword puzzle.
As mentioned above, there are also 3 extra contestants called spoilers who enter in the 2nd round. they want to take over the podiums so they have a chance at winning. they can do that in several ways.
There is also something called the "Crossword extra" which is like a daily double from jeopardy. the contestant that answered correctly last will be the only person who's allowed to answer. they also have to set a wager not to exceed the total they have, and if it's below the round minimum (Round 1 = $500, Round 2 = $1,000, Round 3 = $2,000) they can wager up to that amount.
As much as I hate to admit it, this show does have it's negative points, but at least it's better than some of the trash on these days. like the moment of truth. yeah, that show is horrible.
This show is a mix of positives and Negatives. Watch it once, and see what you think.
