Voice actor Christopher Sabat, who voices Roy Revant and who had directed the English voice cast for the series, got the same arm tattoo as Roy to commemorate working on the series.
Larry and Andy Anderson were named after Lana Wachowski and Lilly Wachowski and their The Matrix (1999) protagonist named Anderson.
The four girls in the R.U.C. Special Security Division are named after Japanese cars: Integra (Honda), Toyota Celica (Toyota), Accela (Mazda) and Sylvia (Nissan).
The bounty hunter Roy Revant was majorly inspired by the tough-as-nails cop John McClane.
The vehicles seen in the series were designed by artist Range Murata, who worked on the animes Blue Submarine No. 6 (1998) and Last Exile (2003), which held similar advance-but-retro designs.
