This extra on the Flower Drum Song DVD tells about the sets, costumes, and the title sequence which has watercolor paintings. Dong Kingman is responsible for the latter which are quite beautifully expressive. Irene Sharaff did the fabulous costumes depicting old and new Chinese culture. And Howard Bristol is responsible for the sets on the Universal-International backlot which depicts the Chinatown in San Francisco seamlessly blending with the real location exteriors of the real SF in Technicolor. Nice comments throughout from Ted Chapin, Bruce Poamahac and C.Y.Lee original author of the novel "The Flower Drum Song". So on that note, this is another highly recommend extra on the FDS disc.
