This is an embarrassment to African American movies. It was on twice within 24 hours. I thought I fell asleep on something, so I watched it through the second time. It was just as ridiculous the second time as it was the first. Too much happened within a 2 year period. He was so in love, and the grieving period had to be very brief for the pregnancy. This was not real at all. Living under the same roof was plain "nasty" of both women. I loved Cherie in the sitcom "Family Matters," but I've lost all respect for her after seeing this. I can't find enough adjectives to describe how degrading I think this movie was : Ludicrous, ridiculous, ignorant, ghetto, racist etc. I lived during a time when there were no black faces on the TV. This set us back to Pre- Civil Rights period.
I can't believe I sat there and watched this whole thing! I guess I was hoping that eventually it'll get better but it kept getting worst and worst! The acting is terrible, the story is unbelievable, and this movie just seemed like one big joke instead of a serious film that people actually spent money on to make! Take my advice, don't waste two hours of your life on this film, you'll regret it, I promise you! It is supposed to be some kind of drama-comedy type of film, but the "drama" aspect of it was cheesy and the "comedy" of it was no where to be found. The characters were so lame and story will leave you upset all the way until the bitter end. Terrible film!
The pace, the acting, the plot, everything about this movie was contrived and awful. Im only writing this review to warn unsuspecting viewers like myself - who regrets the time wasted - Don't do it! Black Directors, producers, actors get serious this is exploitation of your audience and it almost put me off black movies for life! How much money was spent making this? How much profit was made ripping off the people that paid to watch this? Im making a mental note to never watch anything by this director. Actors don't compromise your craft by participating in such movies - don't let desperation kill your career, read the script! There is nothing good that can be said about this movie nothing at all!

I love this movie....very creative and different storyline....I can't believe the negative feedback...I have this in my collection and I watch it every time BET shows it......great cast.....great music....I want the soundtrack to the film....Cherie looked great as did Shar Jackson.....Marcus Patrick also did a great job and Antwan Tanner was phenomenal...I look forward to the next film that Cherie does should be another classic film....say what you want but BET is playing it heavy....can't too many movies say that....I don't get the racist overtones people talk about though....it is typical everyday life....the writing was also great for this film.

What an atrocious and confounding piece of dribble disguised as a film. Shameful, ugly, idiotic, degrading, immoral, even blasphemous. Poorly constructed. A mar on the careers of actors I can't even believe agreed to do this. Obba Bobatunde??? Obba Bobatunde!! He was being drugged for the entirety of this film's production, I'm absolutely certain of this. Shar Jackson...in the words of Nick Joseph "Baby, what is you doin'??"
If you want to be angry, watch this. Or if you're like my husband who gets some kind of twisted joy watching a train wreck for the comic relief, sure...watch this.
My personal recommendation, if you see a physical copy of this film, do the world a favor, be a hero, burn it! All efforts to erase this film from history should be made.
Unbelievable.
