Good acting raises "My Secret Life" above the average level of porn, one of the few DCypher features I've enjoyed.
Much credit goes to leading man John Crown (uncredited unfortunately), an actual actor rather than part of the Adult Entertainment talent roster. He essays a Walter Mitty role as Alex, stuck in a dull job with a mean boss (played by George Kaplan) who has comical sex incidents, where the Porn Central Casting players take over, including an inevitable cameo by Ron Jeremy.
A lengthy list of beautiful femme stars give this one quite a cast, ranging from Shanna McCullough to superstars of the future like Kirsten Price and Jelena Jensen. Because Crown is able to shape a real character, the viewer can get involved in his admittedly trivial life story.
Metro, which was calling itself Metro Interactive at this time as part of that ill-fated trend, released quite a few interesting features though as a label it was still unreliable overall, with so much mindless gonzo on the schedule. I'm glad I discovered this obscure title and gave it a whirl.
