The newest TV Guide announced that they will be moderating a special 20th anniversary panel commemorating X-Files. Believers out there, faith has been restored.
The Thursday July 18th panel will feature creator Chris Carter and as well as writer-producers David Amann, Vince Gilligan, Howard Gordon, Darin Morgan, Glen Morgan, John Shiban and Jim Wong. Everyone wants to know if Mulder and Scully will be there, and we have an answer on some of that front. EW reports that Gillian Anderson will be in attendance (perhaps she’ll visit the Hannibal panel as well?), so now we’re just waiting on David Duchovny.

It’s here! One of the busiest times of the year for those of us who follow news about TV, if not TV news. It’s the annual Upfronts, when networks announce who is staying, who is going, and when we’ll be seeing what. First up, NBC, home of Grimm and Revolution, and now home as well to Dracula and J.J. Abrams and Alfonso Cuaron‘s Believe.
We have the new NBC synopsis for Dracula today, along with the first, quite lovely, trailer. We also have the new synopsis for Believe, which features just a few little tweaks compared to the version we posted last week, And the schedule for our four favorite NBC shows. Ready?

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the first announced today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on NBC.
The Peacock did not have a good year. Only one of its new shows, "Revolution," was a true hit. Another, "Chicago Fire," got renewed by the skin of its teeth whilst the fate of a third, "Hannibal," remains uncertain.
None of last year's new comedies survived, neither did two mid-season dramas, which leaves the network with some big holes to fill. Three dramas and three comedies will debut in the Fall ahead of three more dramas and two comedies mid-season. Two further dramas and a comedy are presently unscheduled.
Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't become series including the high-profile Charlize Theron-produced drama about the Hatfields and McCoys, the Bruckheimer-produced...

The new fall season is closer than you think, and NBC has released their full schedule. Apart from reality favorites The Biggest Loser and The Voice, they are mixing things up quite a bit.
Take a look at a complete preview of the shows coming your way, and mark your calendars. It looks good for NBC this year, and while I’m not sure all of these look like winners, I think you’ll find at least a couple that you’re really going to like.
Blacklist – Fall

For decades, ex-government agent Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) has been one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives. Brokering shadowy deals for criminals across the globe, Red was known by many as “The Concierge of Crime.”
Now, he’s mysteriously surrendered to the FBI with an explosive offer: he will help catch a long-thought-dead terrorist, Ranko Zamani,...

Every since we saw Elijah Wood in Sin City, we knew this cat had a love of horror films in him, and the very good news is that he's taken said love to an entirely new level with his new shingle, The Woodshed.
Deadline reports that Wood has partnered with Daniel Noah and Josh C. Waller to form The Woodshed, an indie company that will focus on genre fare. Not surprisingly, Wood is a horror fanatic. “I’ve been a fan of horror and genre cinema in general since I was a child and have become increasingly passionate about the idea of there being a space in which horror films that take their subject matter and characters seriously could be produced,” he said. “What was born out of a conversation of our mutual love for the genre and what we felt was lacking in a broad sense, especially from the U.

Exclusive: The Lord Of The Rings star Elijah Wood has partnered with Daniel Noah and Josh C. Waller to form The Woodshed, an indie company that will focus on genre fare. While I tend to associate Wood with the wholesome hobbit he reprises in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit films, he played a pretty awful cannibal in Sin City, and he plays a full-on serial killer in the Franck Khalfoun-directed remake Maniac, which IFC Midnight acquired after it premiered at Cannes. Not surprisingly, Wood is a horror fanatic. “I’ve been a fan of horror and genre cinema in general since I was a child and have become increasingly passionate about the idea of there being a space in which horror films that take their subject matter and characters seriously could be produced,” he said. “What was born out of a conversation of our mutual love for the genre and...

Resident Evil: Extinction (2007)
Directed by Russell Mulcahy
Mila Jovovich is back as the genetically altered zombie ass-kicker Alice in a story that gets about as far from the games upon which it’s based as is possible. Still, I didn’t hear anything too terrible about it, and it certainly couldn’t have been worse than the second film in the series, right? Lots of features come on this one, as is Sony’s way. If you’re living ahead of everyone else, it’s out on Blu-Ray the same day, as well, as is the entire trilogy. Buy it here!
Solstice (2007)
Directed by Daniel Myrick
The first film Myrick did solo after Blair Witch Project is actually the second to be released (the first was the Raw Feed film Believers). Strange how...
