Disturbed by a nightmare, David (David Henesy) apparently sleepwalks to his bedroom window and is in danger of falling when Liz (Joan Bennett) enters and stops him. David shouts, "I didn't kill him!" In town, Fred Stewart (as D. Reeves) treats Roger (Louis Edmonds), who considers Roger lucky he wasn't killed. Malloy (Frank Schofield) is convinced Roger's car crash was no accident. With a helpful diagram neatly positioned for the camera, Malloy explains to Roger the car's brake system and points out the accident was caused by a missing "bleeder valve." Everyone suspects foul play...
While comforting David, Liz provides more Collins history. Isaac Collins sailed the Atlantic Ocean in 1690, and landed in Frenchman Bay, Maine. Like many, Liz calls it "Frenchman's Bay". The actors perform this episode well, with Mr. Edmonds most outstanding. The show has been criticized for many "bloopers", but these occur naturally in speaking and Edmonds shows how to correct one of these flubs naturally; watch for it as Roger speaks to the doctor concerning 100 miles. The usual missteps aren't too distracting, either. Lucy Cameron and her newly delivered baby are never seen...
