I wanted to like this movie. I like the "lets band together and save the radio station" plot line. However, every element of this film painful to watch. The characters are flat and the acting is stiff. The plot is all over the road. The main character is not likable. There is no attempt to flesh out the radio station and make the audience care about saving it.
When the main character's Dad says he is going to cut funding to the radio station he doesn't care, offer to change anything, put up a fight... nothing.
It feels like everyone that contributed to this movie did so under duress. They were forced to make a movie and did so as quickly, and with as little effort, as possible.
Not good. I wouldn't bother with it.

Don't be swayed by the fake high ratings by accounts with no other reviews.
This is abysmal trash. It has poor acting without the comedic effect. It is slow without tension or atmosphere. It is so bad that it's bad. It doesn't go all the way around and become good again like The Room or Plan 9.
It's about an Owen Wilson imitator who wants to save his radio station by interviewing a protester in a tree trying to save a forest. Predictable plot with a predictable structure.
Not the worst film I've seen but not a long way off.

This movie has tons of character - I had a blast watching it.
Shot on 16mm film, this movie does a great job of transporting me back to the first decade of the 2000's. With a cast that hosts Academy Award winners and actors from some of my favorite childhood shows, Cosmic Radio has a feel that could only be accomplished in 2008. The wardrobe is incredibly natural and contributes heavily to the nostalgic vibe. I loved the connection between Tyler Stone and his daughter, and was impressed by their acting as a duo. I was caught off guard by the connection I had to the characters by the end of the film, and felt the emotional catharsis intended by the creators. This is a fun flick that kept me interested - I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I really enjoyed this nice film,, the writing could have been better, but the cast was excellent and it had a good feel. I liked the Native American actors being not typical stereotypes... i enjoyed it, :-)

TI truly enjoyed the fun ride. No snarky morning drive pundits, no creepy on air personalities declaring everyone in the world who disagrees with them American idiots, no intrusive traffic, weather nor sports reporters capable of cluttering the journey inhabit this cinematic cosmos. Instead, this out of your tree comedy with a big heart concentrates on the of rocky family and political relationships of a the male station manager and his female love interests (with their family ties.) . Most comedies are neither as compassionate nor as thoughtful about a cast of characters at various ages, teens and adults, growing up. You don't have to be a tree huger nor a native American to appreciate this film celebrating both. You don't even have to be a fan of 60s inspired radio for the film to resonate. Instead like me you can marvel at the all too
rare hope springs eternal theme -- that at least some people never fall fall victim to professional and personal finger taps while others finally manage to start crawling out of them even as sadly more than a few although not bad to the bone seem to end up stooges.

I like how this movie brings awareness to tree conservation, and to support your local radio stations. I like that they played actual records and 8 tracks. Great cast, too!
