Sanjay Narvekar's character is called Maruti Kamble song Konachhya Khandyavar Konache Oje is played on him for a scene from 1974 film Samna.Tjis film had Mohan Aghase in character of Maruti Kamble.
This is the first film directed by Mahesh Kothare not featuring Laxmikant Berde in the cast. Berde passed away a year before this film released.
Mahesh Kothare dedicated this film to his good friend and co-star, late Laxmikanth Berd. Before the film starts it shows a message in Marathi - "Ha Chitrapat Majhya Vinodi Mitra Sathi" which means, "This film is dedicated to my comedian friend".
Bharat Jadhav and Sanjay Narvekar worked with each other as leads for the first time in Marathi films. Earlier Bharat Jadhav had cameos in Hindi films Vaastav (1999) and Hathyaar (2002), both of which had Sanjay Narvekar in supporting roles.
