The film rights to Deon Meyer's acclaimed novel "Dead at Daybreak" (Orion) were acquired by David Altman, a South African who lives in New York. The story was adapted into a ten-episode TV series and shot in Afrikaans with English subtitles. The series, produced by David Altman, was critically acclaimed in South Africa and won prizes for Best Series, Screenplay and Director.
