Paul Bettany led the cast of Priest, a movie in which the man behind Marvel’s Vision starred as a man of the cloth who wasn’t afraid to bust a few vampiric heads when his niece (played by Lily Collins) is kidnapped by a pack of bloodthirsty dracs.

It might be slightly surprising that there is any demand at all for another Priest film. The first movie, which lurked into theaters on May 13, 2011, a mere two weeks after the MCU’s Thor, certainly didn’t light the world on fire.

The 2015 action movie Run All Night kept audiences on the edge of their seats in its theatrical run, and a new generation of viewers is enjoying streaming the movie. The action thriller follows a former hitman and his son after they accidentally become involved with and kill a mobster. The two are forced to run and fight for their lives against the mobsters as well as the NYPD who are determined to catch and kill the pair.

Despite the modest reviews from critics regarding the plot of Run All Night, some reviews praised the performances of the leading cast. Additionally, audiences were entertained by the consistent action and the performances of the movie's well-known star and supporting cast. For both audiences new to Run All Night and for previous fans, the movie is certainly worth a watch, especially because of the thrilling performances of its cast.

Saturday Night Live season 50 is filled with clever sketches, comedic timing, and an excellent cast ensemble. The nominees for the 2025 Grammy Awards were announced on Friday morning (November 8th), with some heavyweight acts among the contenders for Best Metal Performance.

Released in 1974, Rocka Rolla pre-dated Judas Priest’s heavy metal sound and saw the young British band playing a brand of bluesy hard rock with elements of psych and prog. Andrew Scott has joined the sprawling cast of “Knives Out 3.”

The “Ripley” and “Fleabag” actor will star in the whodunit — titled “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” — alongside the previously announced additions of “Challengers” breakout Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny of “Priscilla” fame. And of course, Daniel Craig will reprise his role as the quirky sleuth at the center of it all, Benoit Blanc.

Rian Johnson is writing and directing the third “Knives Out” installment. He’s also producing with his T-Street partner Ram Bergman, who worked on the first two films. “Wake Up Dead Man” is expected to soon go into production and is slated to release in 2025. Plot details have yet to be revealed, but Johnson and Craig have teased that it is Blanc’s “most dangerous case yet.”

Brad Dourif has had an incredible acting career that stretches back more than fifty years – and back in the early days of that career, he even earned a “Best Actor in a Supporting Role” Oscar nomination for his performance in the 1975 classic One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Over a decade later, he started playing the role he is best known for, that of Charles Lee Ray, a.k.a. Chucky, a serial killer who uses voodoo to transfer his soul into the body of a doll. Dourif is now 74 years old, so when we hear that he has decided to retire from acting, it’s totally understandable… but while talking about his retirement, Dourif has also made sure to assure fans that his days of Chucky are not over. He will still continue to work on any Chucky projects that might come up.

“The Serpent and the King” is the fourth single from the LP so far, and it’s another scalding ripper from the British metal legends.

Rob Halford’s falsetto vocals are front and center — yep, he can still hit that vaunted Painkiller register — and the guitar tone sounds like it’s scratching the speakers from the inside. Under the hood, the guitar work and riff arrangements are densely composed — enough for both thrash and prog heads to feast on.

Regarding the album’s musical direction, guitarist Richie Faulkner told Audio Ink Radio that Invincible Shield “is progressive in the sense that it’s not like verse-chorus-verse-chorus-solo-chorus-finish,” likening it to Priest’s ’70s output.

Kk’s Priest, the metal band featuring former Judas Priest members K.K. Downing and Tim “Ripper” Owens, have announced a 2024 headlining US tour, and they’re bringing L.A. Guns and Burning Witches along as support.

The trek will kick off March 7th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and run through a March 24th date in Glenside, Pennsylvania. According to a press release, more dates are on the way, as “this tour is scheduled to be the first of at least a two-leg USA tour, planned to continue later in 2024.”

Tickets for select shows go on sale Saturday (December 16th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster, while tickets for all other gigs can be purchased via links on the official Kk’s Priest website. Judas Priest are gearing up to release a new studio album, Invincible Shield, on March 8th, but fans don’t have to wait that long to hear new music from the band. The metal legends have unveiled the video for “Trial by Fire” as the second single from the LP.

“Trial by Fire” features some classic metal riffage from guitarists Richie Faulkner and Glenn Tipton, along with singer Rob Halford’s anthemic vocals. It follows the album’s debut single, “Panic Attack,” which arrived last month.

“Trial by Fire” and “Panic Attack” follow the ’70s metal sound that Faulkner had hinted about the new album. During a recent interview with Audio Ink Radio, Faulkner said this album was “a bit more ’70s Priest, which I welcome as a guitar player.”

Judas Priest have endured in one form or another for more than 50 years, and on their new single, “Trial by Fire,” they recognize their own fortitude. “Bound and abused, branded a liar/I have endured trial by fire,” frontman Rob Halford sings in the chorus, growling the word “fire” a little more each time he sings it.

From 1969 to 2011, K.K. Downing was a member of Judas Priest, and alongside Glenn Tipton made up one of metal’s all-time greatest guitar tandems. The pair helped power such classic albums as British Steel, Screaming for Vengeance, and Painkiller, along with headbanging anthems like “Breaking the Law,” “Living After Midnight,” and “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’.”

After Downing’s exit, Priest carried on with guitarist Richie Faulkner. But when it was announced in 2018 that Tipton was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and would no longer tour (aside from special appearances), it seemingly opened the door for Downing to return. But ultimately, the vacated slot went to Andy Sneap, the co-producer of Priest’s 2018 album, Firepower.

Despite a brief performance with Judas Priest at the band’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year, Downing says the door is now shut on a reunion.

Despite being a country legend in her own right, Reba McEntire doesn’t have much of a leg up on the average person when it comes to contacting the one and only Dolly Parton. In a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, McEntire revealed that she can only reach Parton via fax.

Judas Priest, heavy metal’s perennial Defenders of the Faith, will return stronger than ever next spring with Invincible Shield, their 19th album. The record’s first single, “Panic Attack,” will arrive this week, on the most fitting day for a panic attack, Friday the 13th. The group announced the release, due out March 3, over the weekend during their appearance at the Power Trip festival in Indio, California. The LP follows up 2018’s Firepower, which Rolling Stone dubbed one of the Best Metal Albums of that year.

Exclusive: Twilight actors Kellan Lutz and Cam Gigandet are reuniting on screen for the first time in action crime-thriller Desert Dawn.

While Lutz and Gigandet’s characters clashed in Twilight, this time the actors team up as the newly appointed small-town sheriff (Lutz) and his begrudging deputy (Gigandet) who get tangled in a web of lies and corruption involving shady businessmen and the cartel while investigating the murder of a mysterious woman.

L.A.-based sales and production outfit Premiere Entertainment Group is behind the project, which began filming this week in Nevada. The production received a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement to allow filming during the union strikes.

Marty Murray (Paranormal Island) directs the movie from an original screenplay by Chad Law and Johnny Walters.

Director Jon Garcia was inspired by Bigfoot sightings in the Portland area when developing the film, and also drew inspiration from cult movies and documentaries. The film was shot on location in Happy Valley, Oregon, at a venue called Pendarvis Farm, and the production team even went Bigfooting with professionals to enhance their understanding of the creature.
