The Cozia Monastery is in Valahia, it did exist in Vlad's lifetime, but is was not fortified and not likely to be use during wars, as the place does not have a real military value. When his wife is dying he could have drunk her blood (or from anyone else's dead body lying around), l without killing her, making her drink his blood so she would become a vampire as well and stay together forever. There seemed to be enough time for this, cause it didn't seem like she was in a rush dying. Also, no real wounds were visible, falling from a like like that would splatter your guts and brains all over the place.
At the end Dracula makes the clouds disappear. He could have hid in a tent first, so he wouldn't get hurt. All the vampires die quickly, except for Dracula, he doesn't even vanish to dust like the rest.

When he is revived by Igor or something, he could just be with his son again, there's no threat for other vampires anymore.
