Judge Jeffries was played by long-time actor Charles Robinson. He also played the court clerk Mac Robinson, on the very-popular TV series, Night Court, which also featured the star of the McBride series, John Larroquette.
The detective is threatened to be lowered to a lieutenant if she doesn't obey orders. A lieutenant is a higher rank than a detective.
On the whiteboard in McBride's office, it says Felicia "looses" concertmaster. It was meant to say "loses."
Garrett M. Brown (Chief Watts) and Mary Ellen Trainor (Elizabeth Lucas) previously played married couple Philip and Diane Evans, on the tv show "Roswell" (1999-2002) for the entire run.
