The production of this film was plagued with difficulties. An entire sequence had to be cut and two scenes merged into one new one on the fly to cover the narrative. Originally, there was an elaborate chase through the house by Sam & Jerry after the grandson. However, the bathroom scene was created and cut directly to Wilson answering the phone.
