The best part: not a cargument to be seen throughout.

Actually, the episode even managed to focus on another old relationship of Danny's: his with Tanaka, his former captain.

First things first, Danny shouldn't become a carpenter when he retires. He was Everydad, unable to build a race-car bed because he refused to follow the directions.

Then the last person he expected showed up at his door: Tanaka, with whom he never really got along.

It was great that Danny got a second chance to solve his last case with Hpd, one that got away.

Also, it allowed him to exorcise his guilt about having a witness disappear after Danny failed to pick up his call because he couldn't stop bickering with his ex-wife Rachel.

That's the message at the heart of Hawaii Five-0 Season 7 Episode 10, as a teen boy's repressed memories reopen a decade-old murder while team members struggle with their own family issues.

Five-0 family members from the mainland always add to any episode (none more than Carol Burnett's Aunt Deb).

And that's certainly the case with Danny's family. After an extended visit from his vivacious mom during Hawaii Five-0 Season 4, now we get to meet his sister Bridget, in town for a company retreat.

The first meeting between Bridget and McGarrett is hilarious, since her impression of him is largely based on Danny's reports.

Bridget: You know, I've heard a lot about you.

Before I even get into this crazy and emotional hour, did anyone else get extremely uncomfortable with the way-too-long slaughterhouse sounds in Odin's office?

Seriously, I didn't think it was going to end, and I almost turned the TV off. That scene went on waaay too long. But, it proves how crazy Odin really is, because anyone who finds those sounds relaxing has something seriously wrong with them.

Jesse better watch out, or Odin's going to put one of those bolts in his skull to get what he wants. And he definitely wants that property.

Is Jesse really trying to save his town or is he just trying to save himself?

That's the big question on Preacher Season 1 Episode 6 as Jesse wrestles with the idea that the word of God he thinks is inside him isn't really the word of God at all.

It was another powerful and fun opening sequence for Preacher which included some hilarious dialogue between DeBlanc and Jesse as well as some incredible fighting scenes between the angels. The story is also finally starting to coalesce, at least in the present.

We open exactly where we left off at the end of "South Will Rise Again" at the diner with DeBlanc telling Jesse that he's mistaken in his thinking that God is inside of him.

DeBlanc: What's inside of you isn't God.

Jesse: It isn't God?

DeBlanc: No.

Jesse: What is it then?

DeBlanc: It's a mistake.

Preacher, the supernatural drama from Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin about a particularly badass man of the cloth (Dominic Cooper) has been renewed for a second season at AMC.

If there's anything you need to know about Smurf, it's that she doesn't like being lied to.

On Animal Kingdom Season 1 Episode 4, she tries to figure out if her boys are playing by her rules or if they've been working behind her back, and when she learns they've been doing the latter, all bets are off.

While I still appreciate what this show is trying to do in some ways, it's getting old fast. The shock value and the intrigue are wearing off, and most of these characters are totally unlikable.

The dynamics remain complicated and uncomfortable with all sorts of blurred boundaries and incestuous innuendo, and "the boys" just tear each other apart.

That's the point, and it's what gets our attention, but it isn't sustainable.
