I am a game show zealot. I believe in the umber glow of Chuck Woolery and the sneering capabilities of Paul Lynde. I'm also a rabid fan of trivia; I was on "Jeopardy!" a couple weeks ago and Gsn's "The Chase" before that. Every time network TV rolls out a new primetime trivia-based game show, I'm listening and hopeful and there -- and I have three spring-loaded requests: 1) Please, Jesus, anything but more "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?"-type lighting; 2) Good lord, no more multiple choice questions; 3) Make me love you, new show. I want to love you. Embrace me, you child. Last year we got the Ryan Seacrest-hosted "Million Second Quiz," a multiple-choice bonanza with "Millionaire" lighting that was tedious and unchallenging (read: not lovable). You can understand my devastation there. "500 Questions" is this year's new primetime trivia attempt. Hosted by CNN journalist Richard Quest, "500 Questions" airs...

Matt Hanna is joining G4 Media as Head of Original Programming. Starting today, he will lead development and production for the men-focused cable network, reporting to G4 general manager Adam Stotsky. “The network’s major commitment to new programming makes Matt’s leadership especially important,” Stotsky said. “His tremendous success with multi-genre programming, combined with his creative vision, will help as we expand our lineup of shows that appeal to men.” G4 has been without a top programming executive since the end of February when new topper Stotsky reorganized the cable network’s executive team, leading to the departure of Evp Programming and Production John Rieber. Hanna comes to G4 from True Entertainment, where he was Svp of Development, guiding shows like Bravo’s The Real Housewives Of Atlanta and Platinum Hit, Logo’s The A-List, and Animal Planet’s Too Cute. Before that, he headed up the alternative department at BermanBraun,...

I bet you and I both had the same favorite gay cartoon character growing up: no one. Because there were none.
You could pretend that He-Man was a roving homosexual with West Hollywood-primed muscles, but he wasn't gay. And that didn't matter, because young homos who loved cartoons simply relied on awesome animated ladies for edification. The ladies took charge, looked fab, represented our bursting drive and self-possession, and sometimes even solved crimes. I've picked the ten most fabulous lady cartoons ever with one stipulation: Everyone on this list first hit the small screen before 2000. We're going for "classics" here, not total comprehension. (I'd be including ladies from Archer and Venture Bros., in that case.)
10. Valerie, from Josie and the Pussycats
Is there any doubt that Valerie made Josie and the Pussycats the supergroup they are? She handled two tambourines at once, bopped harder than her bandmates, and swayed like...
