Amanda: Look, all our problems revolve around your geriatric loving loser creep of a friend. And as soon as you outgrow him, the sooner you'll be to reaching your potential.
Spence Holmes: Just enough with Hogan, please.
Amanda: No. No, Spencey. If you spend the rest of your life associating yourself with that vermin, you will become that vermin.
Spence Holmes: [downs his beer in disgust]
Amanda: Spencey, I love you, I just want what's best for you.

Seemingly like the American Pie films or like Road Trip/Euro Trip, Cougar Club is nowhere near those. Given its lower budget, lack of a theatrical release and low views, people should not have expected the film to be of such quality.
As a film, the movie is very unrealistic and a lot of it is far too silly and makes little sense.
First off. The lead character is supposed to be a nice likeable guy yet he blatantly cheats on his pretty girlfriend (a young Kaley Cuoco) for an older woman and feels no shame in doing so. It seemed far too easy for him to get with the "cougar". One moment he could barely speak to her, a few scenes later, he's sleeping with her.
Also the writers didn't do a good enough job in making Kaley's character unlikeable or crazy. The lead felt no remorse in cheating with her. Why didn't he just break up with her. Do not understand how they were together in the first place. None of this was clear. If you are watching the film for Kaley Cuoco, know that she has a very small role, as she was very underused.
While watching, you may be asking yourselves "how is this happening?" (referring to what occurs on screen). What wasn't made clear enough was, were the women/cougars in on the scheme (did they know of the "Cougar Club"? Were they getting paid?). Everything felt entirely too easy for the guys to hook up with them.
As another reviewer mentioned, the film fell short on "its seductive promise". Aside from 1 or 2 very short exceptions, the cougars themselves were left out of the movie. Very lacking for a "guilty-pleasure" style movie.
Overall this movie was just bad, not funny in the least, and it shows the difference in what it takes to make a funny and enjoyable comedy (especially these types of comedies). The writing is the most important part. An entirely forgettable film.
