Two elements alone are well worth enduring the original film: the Pants song and the sandstorm. A very cohesive riffing with plenty of call-backs to previous jokes and a fun connection to the invention exchange. Bad monster movie plus Joel and the Robots equals belly-laughs a plenty!

This episode is another honorable mention of mine, it's also the second in the trilogy of Hercules movies from MST3K and believe or not this is my favorite from them.
I'll admit despite a fantasy film, this is an unusual entry especially for a famous figure of Greek myth. But when it came to making fantasy films there really were no distinct rules back then, which makes this film as bad as it may 'be interestingly bad.
This episode just has lost of memorable and funny riffs, the host segments are good I wouldn't say anything great in my book. Though really like the business with both Doctor Forester and TV Frank both constantly hinting at the pain to come, really love how both kept saying my favorite quote from them "DEEP HURTING" it was just hilarious how much gusto they put into that.
There are a lot of memorable scenes like that giant bear trap Hercules is struggling to keep from skewering him, I'll admit it made me tired just looking at him. It's funny all the things the MST gang says as he goes though the painful trial, which make the scene worth the pain. The scenes where we see some chain gangs getting pulled and tugged to their doom, there are some memorable riffs, like Crow saying how terrible everyone is at the game "Tug of War".
But of course, another of the highlights is that damn sandstorm scene, yeah just like the MST crew I was feeling some of that DEEP HURTING. If you thought filler in Anime programs are bad, their a cakewalk compared to this scene. But don't worry the MST crew will protect you from the pain which makes going through this pain pleasurable.
There's nothing hurtful about this episode.
Rating: 4 stars.

I admitted that I was skeptical of how good this episode would be. I was able to understand almost all the pop culture references they put out! I actually don't really know if that's good or bad. Does it mean I am myself becoming smarter? Or does it mean that their jokes just weren't as well written this time? Anyway, this was a really interesting episode as it saw the invention exchange being integrated in the actual riffing, more or less. I like the reference they had to the other Hercules movie at the end. Even TV's Frank is wondering what it's like up there. I liked the viewer letters too. It still cracks me up with all the boob jokes they made in that one part.
I was not expecting this film to have such a boring part. It really was great to see these guys work so hard to get through that tedious segment with all the sand. They still got great lines though! The funniest (and the one that made me literally lol) was "It's clobbering time!". I guess the rock jokes are just good. They kept calling him "Herc". It's weird because my brother has actually called me that a few times. They also use the joke, "Cha, cha, chain, chain of fools", which my brother has also done! I guess this episode just came off as quite personal to me. "Oh! I forgot I put that there!" ****
