Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaThe commentary for this episode tells that Seth McFarlane promoted the Family Guy characters to the show, but they didn't think CBS would go for it. "We could have been the 'Tracy Ullman Show' for Family Guy," said Al.
- GoofsThe honorary PhD at the end spells hamster as hampster (there should not be a P).
- Quotes
Al: [reads a book title] Thirty Seconds To Martial Arts Mastery. This sounds cool.
[reads]
Al: To begin your martial arts training, look behind you.
[looks]
Kuni: [Kung Fu yell] Hello, little Sensei. My name is Kuni. I'll be your judo instructor for the next thirty seconds.
Al: Oh, okay. Well, what do I...?
Kuni: No questions! We are on a very serious schedule here. Now, the martial arts I am to teach you are only to be used for defense, not for attack. Let's begin. Attack me.
Al: [pause] But you just said that...
Kuni: I know what I said - attack me!
Al: Okay...
[Al charges at Kuni, but Kuni flips Al across the room]
Al: Well, that was kind of painful.
Kuni: What did you expect? You attacked me.
Al: But you told me to!
Kuni: Ah. With pain comes wisdom, little wood tick.
[He flips Al again]
Al: Ow! Hey! That wasn't for defense!
Kuni: Ah, but it was. You are my opponent, and as my opponent, I correctly assumed that at some time, you would attack me. Therefore, I can anticipate the need for defense.
Al: [pause] I don't think I want to take judo from you.
Kuni: But your training has just begun, little dung beetle.
[His watch beeps]
Kuni: Oops, sorry, time is up. Course is over.
Al: What? I didn't learn very much.
Kuni: That is right, little cockroach. It takes time to master any skill. You did not learn because you did not study. YOU'RE SO STUPID! Bye-bye.

- ConnectionsEdited from 'Weird Al' Yankovic: Dare to Be Stupid (1985)
What's on Al TV? BBC-2 features "Mummy & Daddy." A news reporter panics when he learns that Babe Ruth still walks the earth. Weird Al parodies "La Bamba." A cold medicine commercial goes awry. Camp Superfun is only for people in cartoon-animal costumes. Alex Trebek hawks the Know-it-all Correspondence School.
Weird Al is especially interested in the correspondence school. The Hooded Avenger answers all of Bobby the Inquisitive Boy's annoying questions. Al wants to be that smart, too, and orders the sum total of all human knowledge, which includes books on twentieth-century Belgian philosophers, advanced geometry, astral projection and martial arts mastery in 30 seconds. 30 seconds? Al quickly learns you can't learn anything that quickly. But should Al feel inferior? Only he knows what to do when Harvey the Wonder Hamster chokes on a peanut butter pizza. He's been studying the National Rodent Society's Official Hamster Maintenance Manual. Meanwhile, Bobby watches the educational film, "Be Nice to Your Teeth."
The fourth episode is as watchable as the first three. "Be Nice to Your Teeth," which takes footage from a real educational film, is probably the best bit.
