When Major Gus Denver is introduced in the episode "Appointment at Liege" he is mourning about his crew being killed (while he was on temporary stateside duty) over Liege, Belgium. In THIS episode 'V for Vendetta' he is talking about his crew being killed over Mannheim Germany.

Doubt.

Some time back, General Hoagland was up for the same job that General Savage now occupies as head of the bomber group. Hoagland is resentful and seems to do his best to undermine Savage. This culminates in Hoagland visiting the base and going on a mission with Savage. During the mission, the plane is hit and Hoagland bails out...and is strafed by a German fighter plane!

The seeds of doubt sown by Hoagland have had an effect on one of Savage's most trusted men (Gary Lockwood)...a man who is on the verge of snapping already. What's next? See the show.

This is a very good episode of "12 O'Clock High"....handling important issues to real life pilots and crews. Well worth seeing.
