Great episode..for memories

The previous reviewer is correct. This was an episode that explored tensions and stresses due to a huge mission coming up. As Robert Lansing said, "one of three in this room won't return."

I remember well as a teenager my brother, our dad and I watching 12 O'clock High in the mid 1960s. Dad loved it. More than Combat or Rat Patrol.

Our Dad was in WWII in the US Army Air Corp. He flew 25 missions as a top turret gunner in a B17. Dad never never told us nor our mom about being in WWII. We knew, just no details.

In this episode he broke down crying. Those stresses and emotions started to come out. He began to talk about his flights. Having to bail out twice. But never a POW. I was 15. We all sat and listened for hours. He taught alot about the planes such as starting sequence of the engines. Taking off at 6:00am and not returning for hours. In cold air planes We never knew, Dad had a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Hidden. Dad passed in 2022. I have his medals.

This episode meant alot and I just saw it again. July 2024.

We loved Season 1 with Robert Lansing. He was a great actor. His voice, his eyes, he created Frank Savage. Robert Lansing could show a soft side too, such as in "Decision."
